My guess is he and his agent expect the DE market to be dried up by then and to catch someone panicking. He may wind up settling for a one-year prove you can stay healthy deal. I wouldn't mind if the Cowboys are the ones to give it to him.

Well, don't forget good ol' rappin Jeremy wasn't really a "starter" this year. It'd be interesting to compare snaps.

But as it is, 30 to 18 is almost a 3:2 ratio.

Minceys sacks at 6 to Longs at 4 is a 3:2 ratio.

At this point in his career, he's achieved the occulted status of the White Jeremy Mincey. He probably records country music.

Long was the second player taken in the '08 draft by the St. Louis Rams. He turns 31 in March.

I would be very happy with this. Ideal free agent who can come in and start and buys time for development of Gregory. I really would like this signing.
