Chris Long Rumors

I would like Chris Long in Dallas for one reason- leadership. I imagine he could teach DeMarcus Lawrence a few tricks and could be a tremendous influence on Randy Gregory. Might even help straighten the kid out.

Wouldn't mind this. Likely using us, to raise his price up though.

Mincey or Long, I do care who it is as long as they (Mincey and Long) know their primary role is to prepare Gregory for stardom. Now if only the Cowboys can keep Gregory away from the reefer....

Really don't want to re-sign Hardy.

If we are going to pretend Garrett is this ra-ra, inspirational leader, it is kid on contradictory to have guys late to meetings and slapping clipboards out of coach's hands.

I'm okay with Bosa.

Don't want Hardy back either. Split the locker room last year (from what I've heard) into guys that stood by him and guys that wanted nothing to do with him. I think Mincey subtly hinted that's what happened; anyway.

As opposed to drafting Bosa or resigning Hardy?

For me, yes straight up...just on potential talent, Spence, but later in the draft time. Point, best outside pressure, not run stopper.

I agree guys. I'd rather have someone like Long that unites the locker room and leads vs the headcase Hardy that splinters the locker room.

Agreed. From 2010-2013, he had 41.5 sacks. Pretty solid.

those who have broken down his tape in 2015 said its not good. Tailed off badly at end of contract year. Thats usually sign player is in deep decline.

NFL players are not employed as life coaches.

If you get a situation like that, it is a fortunate side effect you only hear about when a team wins.

Sean Lee says Greg Hardy didn't affect Cowboys' team chemistry

However, linebacker Sean Lee insists locker-room chemistry following the offseason addition of controversial defensive end Greg Hardy wasn't one of them.

Cowboys defensive lineman Jeremy Mincey expressed different sentiment during a January interview with Dallas television station FOX 4 (KDFW). Mincey said a 2014 Cowboys squad that was "so close-knit and tight" during a 12-4 season changed for the worse as Hardy struggled to fit in the team fabric.

Lee said other problems led to last season's 4-12 mark.

"I thought we were all on the same page," Lee told me on SiriusXM NFL Radio while attending a post-football planning seminar Thursday held by Priority Sports and Entertainment. "If you watch our effort throughout games, we played extremely hard.

"The issue with us when we lost some of our best players -- Tony and Dez -- and the margin of error became smaller. We weren't able to overcome adversity. We didn't make the critical, game-changing plays [on defense] all the time. We didn't cause enough turnovers. We didn't make the plays down the stretch in the fourth quarter. That's why we lost games. It was never because we weren't all-in or effort. It was all because of execution, especially in critical times."

All the guys holding out hope for Greogory might be in for a rude awakening. He is 1 more violation away from seeing the door out of Dallas. I am one that can't see him in Dallas for long. He cant be trusted, we need a backup plan in place.

Long is not an improvement over Hardy, no matter how much of a RKG he is. Older and less productive are not things that go well together. Was already sliding before his injuries hit. Just bite the bullet and re-sign Hardy, there are no pass rushers available that are better.

And sign Weddle already for Pete's sake.

All in all, they really should pretend he is not even on the roster.
