Chris Paul will seriously consider joining Spurs

Bottom feeder? lol. That's because we hired Byron Scott as coach. No more. This is Walton's team. With Magic and gm Pelinka running the show.

Lakers are loaded with young talent because we were bottom feeders. That's not gonna last very long . Next season we get PGeorge and possibly James. In the draft adding Ball, our offense will be much better in ball movement and energy overall. Randle, Ingram, Clarkson, Nance Jr, Zubac, also rookies Kuzma (versatile can handle ball, shoot, play d), Hart (excellent shooter, defender, another ball handler), plus center Brook Lopez, excellent pick up. We will make progress this season, but next season we will be ready to go with our 2 stud free agent additions.

Why would you even question my bottom feeder comment? Do I really need to remind you of the Lakers recent past? Okay, here goes...

SEASON W L W-L%
2016-17 26 56 .317
2015-16 17 65 .207
2014-15 21 61 .256
2013-14 27 55 .329

That's pure bottom feeder stuff. Maybe they are on the road to turning it around but until they are actually winning games, they remain bottom feeders.

...and to just further demonstrate how bottom feeder the Lakers are, we can't even get into a conversation about them where they are the real thread topic. We are talking about them in a Spurs thread via the Clippers trading Chris Paul. The Lakers are irrelevant.

I have been a Laker fan since 1979 Einstein, the last 2-3 years we have been going thru a transition stage from Kobe's team to letting the young guys play big minutes.

And Kobe's injuries were a big part of it, his body breaking down the last 2 years he played when he had nothing left. His last year 2015-16 was the Kobe retirement season. We weren't signing any worthwhile free agents, and our team hit rock bottom. As I said, the last 2-3 years we have been stocking a lot of young talent. Of course we aren't gonna be winning games with Kobe injured and the Lakers in full rebuild mode giving the young guys the minutes.

Next year we get PGeorge and likely James. This year we will be much improved overall. Walton's 2nd year as coach, the growth of the young guys, a better ball moving offense with Lonzo Ball running it, etc.

And oh ya, screw the Spurs.

No, that's the Spurs. Irrelevant with 35 year old Tony Parker, 32 past his prime LAdridge, and Kawhi Leondard. Enjoy the rebuilding years with no young talent on the horizon and no big free agents wanting to come. lol. That's the d e f i n i t i o n o f i r r e l e v a n t.

Lakers, baby! :)

A Spurs fan telling me Los Angeles is a Clippers town. lol.

Number of championship parades in the history of the Clippers in San Diego and Los Angeles.....'crickets'.............

San Diego/Los Angeles Clippers (1978-2017)
0 Championships
0 Conf Titles
2 Division Titles

Star is good people, but this is Lake town. All day every day, PJ.

That's some funny yet foolish Laker fanboy wishful thinking. They won't even make the playoffs next season and are at best an easy first round elimination if they do squeak into the tournament.

Fool, the Spurs already reloaded with youth so if you want to run your mouth, keep up or shut up.

I'll concede that point but I don't see Los Angeles with any playoff teams now.
No, I don't think LA is there yet, but if Ball is a hit (and I certainly think he is), they won't be too far from playoff contention.

Still, with that damn juggernaut in GS, and Pop in SA (I love Pop!), it's gonna take a hell of a rebuild. Off to a decent start so far, Star :)

I hope you are right. The NBA sorely needs a good Lakers team... it's been a while. I'm a Jeanie Buss fan so I'm wishing her all the best.

Not trying to knock the Lakers or even Ball, but some of you guys are expecting way to much of him.

man I feel bad for the clippers. The lakers have too much hardware and history.

Guess it's kinda similar to the Cowboys and Texans in Texas.
