So no reason for 27-28 teams to even play the games I guess
The 49ers came within a dropped int of being there with a guy not even on that list and the only reason stafford is that high is he won on a loaded team
He didn’t win on a bad team just like Wilson didn’t
TEAMS win the SB
If it was just a great QB then GB would have more rings
Yea, only Trolls are blaming the QB solely. But much of that rhetoric is generated and created by the media hype on QB’s as well. Casual and fringe fans who don’t watch all of the games are easily influenced by such.

Elite QB’s definitely make it easier to build around but as you mentioned it’s not a guarantee and they still need a supporting cast. Or Elite QB’s would win it every year .

Okay?

I agree that teams win, not QBs, but you're not winning without great QB play in the postseason unless you have an all time great defense.

That loaded Rams team also didn't win anything before Stafford showed up.

There are some absolutely awful quarterbacks in the NFL these days.

It's bad. This year's entire QB draft was horrible, and there's not much on the way from college.

Didn't they win a NFCC game and get to the Super Bowl with Goff?
I know they didn't win it, but they went all the way.

Looks good to me.. But I think Dak falls into 10-15 range

I like tiers..
Tier 1= Mahomes, Brady, Rodgers
Tier 2= Stafford, Allen, Burrow, Wilson, Herbert, Jackson
Tier 3= Dak, Murray, Carr, Tannyhill, Cousins
This list/tier structure is bang on.

I'm not into participation trophies and neither were the Rams.

That's why they shipped the dead weight off and got a real QB and instantly won the whole thing.

I understand your POV on this. I was just rebutting your assertion that you can't win in the post-season without elite QB play and I wouldn't call what Goff did as elite.

But there are always exceptions to every rule.

Fair enough.

Goff wasn't good at all really in those playoffs looking back at it.

I can't clearly remember the Rams run that year, but maybe it was, like you mentioned, filled with lucky breaks.
They did have a good D, but I don't think a great D.

Well they did rush for about 1,500 yards on us.

I do remember that.

The Rams got a lucky break this year, Stafford threw the game right to the 9ers and the dB dropped it. The 9ers also didntnt have great qb play to get to the championship game

Truly, lucky breaks are generally a theme for Super Bowl champions.
I would assume for most champions in any major sport.

This is why I cannot ever place blame on any single player for wins, or losses.
There are a ton of moving parts going on, on both the field and the sideline.

I'm sure you can commiserate.

I'm still confused every time I see a list with Dak and Cousins separated by more than a couple spots.

He has Dak 7 spots higher than Cousins.

I wish someone would explain to me exactly what makes Dak 7 spots better than Cousins if they agree with Simms rankings.
My name is Amari Cooper and I endorse this message.

Stafford is a good QB
He’s not Aaron Rodgers though. To some getting a ring makes you great but a great roster is what makes a team great. Brady is the one possible exception because he won with good but not great rosters
Rodgers, Wilson both won with great rosters but neither could win without a great roster
