Why do people want to draft less than the most potential when we have the ability to draft the most potential?

I just wanted to consensus reaction to all the QBs Not named Wentz, Goff, or Lynch. Wentz I believe is going to CLE. and although I am a fan of Goff; with what has been said about not taking a QB at #4 I am going into the draft thinking we miss out on the top 3. I also believe we'd have to trade back to the 1st to get Lynch but it will be a hefty price to pick in the teens or early 20s.

If we do miss out on the top 3 which of
Hackenberg, Cook, & Prescott is the next best option?

To me it's Prescott, Cook, Brandon Allen and Driskel

Hackenburg is too far damaged for repair, even with the great Wade Wilson mentoring him.

year's hot sleeper is Liberty QB Josh Woodrum

Every year, teams try to target a late-round quarterback, a developmental prospect with a high ceiling. And the name that's come up more than any other when talking to teams this year has been Liberty's Josh Woodrum.

I have more work to do on Woodrum, as I've only seen him in one game so far, but watching him against West Virginia, I could see he's a big, strong kid with a live arm. Immediately, you can tell there's something there to work with.

I think several teams believe they're the only team on Woodrum, and there's a bit more of a crowd than they realize. He's kind of a buzz guy right now.

I just as soon take this guy

He had a bad line but apparently refuses to accept any blame for his lack of pocket awareness. In other words, he is partially to blame. He is not the first major college QB to have a substandard line.

Pocket awaraness is huge. We've had QBs here before who had great potential but they were either missing pocket awareness or the ability to quickly read a defense or both.

I have seen Brissett play so many times. Dude is good. He is tough to sack. Kind of like Roethlisberger. I know big company but it's the truth. So strong. States line was bad last year which didn't help. Given time as much as it pains a Heels fan to say. This guy could be the real deal late round gem.

He's tough too. I noticed how well he stood in the pocket vs pressure.

The draft is less than a month away. Like many of you I've been doing my research as a couch scout and going back to do my own homework instead of listening to others.

Am I wrong to say, Hackenberg is impressive? Yes, I've seen the bad and my, it was bad but... this guy had a really bad line. We saw what a bad line can do to a QB first hand. When you give Hackenberg another few seconds he makes all the throws and even scramble for some. The most impressive skill set with him compared to any of the other QBs and yes that includes Wentz and Goff is his IQ and confidence and command at reading the defense at the college level. You just don't see that from a lot of college QBs & he has the skill set to back it up.

Now, I understand the pecking order in this year's QB Ranking. But after Lynch I would honestly take a chance on him before any of the 2nd tier QBs. You let him sit and learn from Romo and get his confidence back and he really could be this year's version of Aaron Rodgers. Only time can tell but the more I watch the more he gets interesting.

Would love to draft him in fourth or comp. that'd be great to me. Bosa, William Jackson, wr, hackenberg
