Peterson, Lynch, Foster and McCoy make more money
Forte, Stewart and Charles make similar amounts

Thats 25% of the League that pays for top dollar RBs and Murray had more yards and TDs than all of them

Only a couple of those guys have proven to be worth the money which is why the market is so dried up now.

Murray isn't even comparable to all of the backs you listed besides Stewart. Murray has literally one healthy, all-pro caliber season. Forte, Charles, Lynch, Peterson, Foster and McCoy have multiple and you stated that the rest of the league feels Murray by himself is worth 8M so I don't see how other backs are even relevant to the conversation. If Murray was the caliber of those 6 backs and has proven he can put together more than 1 healthy, all-pro caliber season then he would be a Cowboy right now.

the only time Murray will be mentioned with that group is contract dollars. every one of them have a track record and mostly proved to be durable.

Look at xwalkers signature picture. It ends this discussion. Murray is in no way shape or form worth 8m. 31 other teams said so. Most importantly the fact that the Jags a team that needs to dump cash to avoid penalty didn't even want to go that route with him. Pretty sad. He wouldn't even be an Eagle if Kelly didn't @#$% the bed with Gore.

Murray is worth 8m a year.

For some reason Dallas is the only team that doesn't see it that way.

But Carr and Free are.

Dallas was far from the only team that didn't see it that way. RBs with that age and mileage are a bad investment.

I didn't know he was given an opportunity there?

Opportunities take on many shapes and forms. Just being on a roster, going to team and position meetings, studying in the film room, doing off season work outs and practicing with the team are all opportunities to prove ones worth.

Don't bother some people live in fantasy football worlds. I don't understand how anyone sees a bubble player as a worthy pick up. Randle and DMC at least have proved they can be effective.

still the wrong answer

his peers just named him a top 5 player, but you keyboard jockeys know better

Love the insults when someone is grasping at straws. Murray was a top 5 player last year. However, that has no barring on the FACT that only 1 team thinks he's worth 8m. It isn't us "keyboard jockeys" that know better 31 other NFL GMs and FO staffs said he wasn't. His own team said he's not. Why? Because he's only had 1 full year healthy in the pros and age isn't going to help the fact that the dude has only 2 healthy season combined in the pros and college.

Why is it that you Murray fans take it so personal? Murray was incredible for us last season. However, the fact is he didn't do it alone. The offensive line was great, Dez was great which takes multiple defenders out of the box for Murray BTW, and the entire offense clicked. DeMarco Murray was not the sole reason this team had success. In fact, I'd go as far to say there were several times this year he solely cost us games. But I know we can't talk about the 8m dollar man like that.

Peers may have named him into the top 5 but that doesn't mean he is a top 5 player in the league. It just means he had a top 5 year in their eyes last year. Murray is not a top 5 player in this league and it isn't close. He isn't worth $8M a year either.

These would be the same peers that had the top rated QB in the mid 30s, and did not even rank an all pro...weak sauce:rolleyes:
