Brett Favre was traded to GB from ATL and Aaron Rodgers didn't beat him out right away.

So seattle is burying him on the roster because he is the next coming of Beast Mode???? Come on he got beat by turbin and may get beat by Rawls. Hey may be a future pro bowler but I put him somewhere between good and lance dunbar. He is the 4th best running back on their roster based on their coaches and scouts. I would not trade a single pick for him. If he was cut I would put in waiver claim but trade for him would be dumb.

Trading a conditional low pick is not risky at all.

Maybe on someone that has produced a little more in two years in the NFL and is not in danger of being pushed off a roster. Randle who many here poopoo was drafted 3 rounds later and has similar YPC more TDs, twice as many games played and more stats to say right now he is better. It isn't like Seattle was poor running team so the question is why has CM only had 50+ carries in 2 years.

Sometimes guys just don't get the chance. It's not a plan or a conspiracy, it just happens.

I think Michael would be a great fit for us. We have 4 possible comp picks next year that can't be traded. Using a late pick on a RB we can use this year would be very smart.

Not getting opportunities is one thing but playing in only 4 games and sliding off the depth chart is another.

Yep. Pretty hard to defend losing ground to multiple players in your own position group after coming in as a highly thought if player.

The same thing happened in PHX to Ryan Williams due to an injury and he's a roster afterthought. At least an injury explains the lack of production in William's case.

The last 2 seasons he's had every opportunity to take the 2nd spot. He's either not done enough for the coaches or he's been injured.

http://www.seahawks.com/news/2013/0...-robert-turbin-race-be-marshawn-lynchs-backup

“As for who’s going to back up Marshawn, right now Rob is the guy that’s more dependable, plus he’s a good player,” Smith said. “So for Christine to crack that thing and be the backup to Marshawn, he’s got to overcome 22 (Turbin’s uniform number). And 22 is not backing down.”

But then Smith wouldn’t want it any other way.

“The thing is, you’ve got to have a pair and a spare,” Smith said. “And Christine can become that spare for us, or we have a good spare. Because we know who the main guy is. But we need that second guy to go in there and keep pounding when Marshawn is out. And that third guy, if we need him.”

Turbine was the incumbent and has done everything that has been asked of him. C-Mike unfortunately is a year behind him and hasn't done enough to pass him. 2a and 2b. I'm pretty sure Michael would start for many teams at this moment, our included.

I don't disagree at all. I would only be open to trading a pick IF the coaches feel he is good enough to make the roster. So a conditional pick if he makes the roster, possibly a better pick if he plays.

He maybe worth 8M for one more year. But beyond that and maybe sooner his body will betray him. I daresay he has not had one season where he wasn't injured and if it was not his contract drive year his hand would have had him miss at least 2-3 games last year.

Murray is worth 8m a year.

For some reason Dallas is the only team that doesn't see it that way.

But Carr and Free are.

Only team? Murray had a pretty tough time finding a team. The Jaguars/Raiders were not even going to overpay for him. It looked like he was going to settle for our offer until the Eagles went and drove the price up. I still believe Kelly was just trying to save face in the media by bringing in a big name after losing Maclin.

Remember...Eagles wanted Frank Gore, if Gore didn't get cold feet...Murray would've been deciding between the Jaguars, Raiders and us. Decent teams that needed a running back didn't show a bit of interest(Patriots, Colts, Chargers or even the Rams).

Peterson, Lynch, Foster and McCoy make more money
Forte, Stewart and Charles make similar amounts

Thats 25% of the League that pays for top dollar RBs and Murray had more yards and TDs than all of them
