He was, is and will be better than Randle. Lynch just happens to be a beast that was just re-signed.

Isn't that the point......putting the best players out there

He has done nothing to show he is better, and that is the point. Lynch is not keeping him from beating out Rawls and Turbin now is it? One more time...I don't care what his 40 was, or how many reps he did on the bench press, none of that means jack **** if it does not show on the field. Randle has shown he is capable to getting carries in the NFL and at worst being part of a rotation. Michael can't even get carries in a rotation to this point and is in danger of getting cut because of an UDFA. He is not a better NFL RB than Randle.

Or they could have just used a 7th rd pick on him if they really wanted him.

You are right. Would have preferred Rawls over Swaim. As for Christine, no thanks. Both Randle and Seastrunk are better.

I defer to Cowboys' scouts, but my eyes tell me this kid behind our offensive line would be better than what we have now. He has been trained the past 2 years in a similar zone blocking system, had electric plays in the preseason and some regular season games when given a chance, and has all the measurables (including size at 220+ pounds) to succeed. I would happily give up a 5 or 6 to push Williams or even Dunbar off the roster to find out.

And we have kid, a knucklehead, but a kid that has actually produced behind this line versus starters, not the preseason, but actually starting NFL defenders. No way do you give up a 5 or 6 for a guy that may be better than Randle when in all likelihood he we would be on par with him. If he was that good teams would be banging their door to offer a high 5 or 6 or even higher. I will take my chances when he is cut on the waiver wire.

CM was primed to be the back up and eventual replacement for Lynch...he failed and lost it to Turbin. The guy sucks and has done absolutely nothing to prove he's an NFL RB. Some of you are grasping here. You bag on DMC and Randle but want someone else trash. I trust our staff. They believe in DMC and Randle. The only RB worthy of trading for is the name we don't speak of.

I just have to laugh.

If Michael - DMC, Randle, Dunbar and Williams all got cut on the same day I guarantee you that Michael would be the first one picked up. Randle MAY get picked up. DMC and Dunbar would be waiting patiently for someone to get hurt to find a team, if ever.

That's the reality of our RB situation. Can we win? Yes, but it won't be pretty. And I have a gut feeling that Garrett won't be patient with it.

I virtually guarantee that there will be another RB added to this roster before the season starts and that RB will be our "starter".

Dmc would not be sitting around waiting for injuries if he was released to FA

Who would be rushing to sign him? The reality of this time of year is teams have an idea of their situations so bringing in a low-upside veteran is not in the plans. Most teams would rather wait until after week one when veteran contracts are not required to be guaranteed.

Plenty of teams. We see lesser talents than McFadden picked up all the time by teams in the FA

Is that similar to your guarantee that the Cowboys would have been better off cutting Jermey Mincey last preseason before he went on to be one of the top 5 defensive players on the team?

And when he's gotten carries for the Seahawks, he's looked awesome as well.

Here's a something that those of you who want someone else's trash should consider. CM has had plenty of time with this coaching staff to get more playing time and eventually replace Lynch. If the guy is so awesome why did SEA sign Lynch to another massive contract? Why is he on the bubble? Why did he lose his job to Turbin?
