Good. At least we'll be able to see if he has the ability to improve the running game with time to make another move at the position if he doesn't.

The rushing attempts count will be interesting to see after the game.

I could be wrong, but I do worry about how Randle would handle being demoted should that come to pass. Those meat on the bone comments would certainly get thrown back in his face by folks.

If he reacts poorly, then he's not a RKG and can go whine somewhere else. Not saying that will happen nor do I want it to happen, but that's my take on it. He certainly hasn't done anything to merit any kind of special consideration, IMO.

I'm sure the already are. I would bet he's the type to overly state his displeasure.

"Taking the reins off and letting him ride" makes it seem as though he'll get more than a handful of carries, which is about what I was interpreting "bigger opportunity" to mean. How wonderful would it be if he ends up shining?!

I grabbed him on my FF roster this week, so it would be glorious on every level!

I really am starting to think that this post-bye version of the Romo-less Cowboys will be more different than people expect. It could help us catch the Giants off guard and capture another division win.

Cassel instead of Weeden.
Dez back on the field.
La'el instead of Ronald.
A heavier dose of C-Mike.

Plus the defense should be at it's strongest too.

There are no style points in the NFL... a one point loss counts the same as a 30 point loss. Looking at it that way, we had nothing to lose by trying something different with the QB and RB. Dez, La'el and Gregory are unquestionable upgrades, so better days may very well be ahead.

I love this move. Just when it starts to get cold and the weather starts to change we have some bruisers at rb on the roster. One thing I would've hated is to not be able to run the ball in November and December and have to throw the ball when we play at Buffalo, Green Bay and at the Jets. We need to establish the run at some point.

Very good point! Now if he will just perform up to his potential.

I couldn't care less.

In fact, I hope he does take it poorly so he gives the team the final reason they need to send him packing. He got his chances, more than one, and he's failed to live up to each and every one of them.

If they cut him today, I'd be good with it.

I'm still not clear as to why they did not do this in last week's game. One good carry and he was pulled. Same with the week prior (except for the good carry part). If he wasn't injured, they should have used him.

I don't care what he or Weeden thinks. It's time to find players who can make plays and not cry about it.
