Christopher Nolan to produce ‘Justice League’, Christian Bale to return as Batman?

For much the same reason that the Avengers needed Captain America, Hawkeye, and the Black Widow. A good story will have vital roles for all characters, no matter their power levels.

I agree a good story will overcome all. I just think that the difficulty is raised when your least powerful character is your most popular.

Not too mention, Wayne is just done as a hero. His body is just physically done. But I suppose he could circumvent that with prosthesis such as the knee brace in TDKR.

You've seen the trailers, right? They're going for a Terence Malick style of hyper-realism. Think Terence Malick plus Chronicle plus Watchmen. That could totally kick ***.

And it's doable too, but it's also very difficult and tricky. If it were easy, someone else would have done it already. But they haven't, so that's what's so cool about it. This is an incredibly original take on the superhero genre, and I can't blame someone for thinking it can't be done. We'll see.

It looks like a gritty version of the story we all know and love, and looks like one of the better renditions of the story told so far. But I've also heard that they've saved some of the more awe-inspiring fight scenes for the movie and subsequently probable post-release trailers. So I'll have to wait and see how realistic it seems.
