Chryst gone to UT?

People keep making the assumption that Garrett will even hire an offensive coordinator.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sherman is promoted to OC with Garrett becoming the HC.

In a way, it would be logical given the success the offense generally has had over the past 3-4 yrs.

Sherman'll most likely be promoted to OC as a reward for playing ball

Yup. Just posted the same thing.

Ray Sherman is going to be the OC I would think then.

Why not? Everything is working so well that everything should be kept the same.

I think he will to help free him up. He still may call the plays but if Garrett is to be the HC of the Cowboys he will have to spend time with the defense as well as the offense. He can't be just the offensive coach

I think this would be a good move for Chryst. I sure would love to have him though. He has to do what he thinks is best for his family.

I am not too worried about the OC position with the cowboys.

I am more worried about the DC position and the other coaches on defense.

It's a win/win for me.

Have you submitted your application yet?

This is a really good hire for the Horns, maybe they can finally get their running game back on track

Hos you stated the other day that Jerry is moving quickly to pursue top notch Asst.'s. Who and where do you see them coming from? It still makes me nervous that Jason wants to call his own plays. Not from a production standpoint, but from an overall HC standpoint. I assumed going with Garrett Jerry would get serious and go with the Chiefs method and hire top quality asst.'s with the young guy as the leader.

I heard yesterday that Todd Haley saw a whole new ballgame by not calling plays this year, and he said that he missed a lot of things calling his own plays.

Wiffed again. Thanks Jerry.

good freaking god. people will rag on jerry when life goes on it's merry way as it does for billions of people, but since you didn't get your bright shiney toy you so coveted, jones screwed up.

geez some people need to buy a clue.

he will but it will be OC in name only. It is an opportunity to bring in another voice or to leverage more pay for one of the position coaches (Sherman is the obvious choice among them)

Yes.

I was turned down of course.

However I did get an odd email claiming to be from Jerry Jones.

He asked me if I would give him the name of the medication I was using for my extraordinary hair. I told him it was all natural. So he replied asking that I send him a jug of Moonshine so can get drunk, go out and say something silly in the hopes someone would get a video of him doing it.

I said...No Jerry No I can not do that.

Two days letter I got a letter in the mail. It was a thank you card with $50.00 in it. The card was simply signed...Thanks, Stephen.

Good move for Chryst. UT was in the National Championship not too long ago and I hope again soon ! Mack Brown was grooming Muschamp to be the next HC, now that is open. UT can retool and get back after an off-season and Chryst could have a shot at the big job. I look forward to him at UT.

The Cowboys are not so solid. The window is small for the talent we have unless a major refit is undertaken. Garrett is an unknown and a couple average or poor seasons could lead Jerry to clean house ala Campo, leaving Chryst trarnished and/or unemployed. Also, we don't know if Garrett even wants a OC, but I hope he does.

That article was on Dec 28th.

Probably did not want to say anything before his bowl game.

Exactly. He interviewed with UT yesterday.
