Cincy WR Ja'Marr Chase vs Diggs

I believe Dallas is going to bracket cover Chase, you can't just allow Diggs one on one against him all game, he's just to good and Diggs is to reckless at jumping routes....

....which, if he plays Sunday after suffering a concussion in week 1, will see Tee Higgins 1 on 1 with a Dallas CB not named Diggs.

Diggs isn't a shutdown corner.......

Hes a great corner but hes not taking one side of the field away however if you Test him too much he's walking away with 2 picks and one is going for 6

CD does not have the physical gifts of Chase who is much faster, taller, and has better hands. CD needs to be the best player he can be but he is not in the same ballpark as Chase.

He’s a good bit faster…quicker, shorter, and just as prone to having passes go through his hands looking to run before completing the catch!

I'm not sure. He dropped bc of his 40 time and his hands aren't great. I had Jefferson ahead of him. I think he can be a really good WR, but Chase can be a HOF player.

Chase was really the one college WR that torched Diggs.

Chase is a flat out elite baller since entering the NFL.
An impact player in the passing game i had hopes that CeeDee Lamb can eventually become.

Does that matchup happen again come Sunday ?

i wonder if Cowboys will have Diggs shadow and tag Chase wherever he lines up
much of the game, .. or will Cowboys be content with Anthony Brown trying to cover Chase, where
i usually see Chase lining up most times.

Ja’Marr Chase completely owned A.J. Terrell. Terrell is now an elite corner in the NFL

I think he also shredded Humphrey for like 200 yards last year. There is no way Dallas can put Diggs alone vs Chase because I do not think anyone in the NFL can win that matchup.

I guess not hearing too much about him is a good thing as if he was torched a lot posters would be going crazy about it.

Gave up a couple of receptions, including a TD on a well-thrown pass and catch, but also defended several passes.

Unless we match up corners, which we don't usually do, I'd expect Chase to be on Brown's side most of the game. It's possible that we'll shade the safety to that side and let Diggs do more one-on-one work on the other side.

Micah can shut all that down. Burrow likes to hold the ball for deep shots which require time in the pocket. Time in the pocket is something that the Bengals Oline doesn't consistently provide leading to sacks, fumbles and INTs. I don't want Diggs gambling for INTs, because it could end up a TD against Chase. But all hands on deck with the pass rush. Micah will be Micah, but I need DLaw to own Lael Collins.

I don't know that it will be a traveling thing with Diggs. I'd bracket Chase with Brown and Safety help( Hooker) and Let Diggs go 1 on 1 with the 2.

The Cowboys have to double Chase. If they don't he will outrun every Cowboys DB to the end zone. The way the Cowboys give up big plays to other receivers I can only imagine what Chase will do to them. I'd put Diggs on the other WO and Brown + a safety on Chase. The key to this game will be pressure on Burrow. If they don't get pressure on him it will be a long day for the defense

On the other side of the ball, Dallas needs to run the ball and eat up clock time.

Yes but i also include:
- Run and control the ball, and limit touches by Joe Cool (Burrow) while scorning ourselves
- Constant pressure on Joe Cool ...force him into as many " difficult " throws
- Turnovers
- and make Cincy one dimensional as possible by stopping the damn Joe Mixon- run game ..
