Wouldn't Buckees' and Love's be considered truck stops? You do not see them around and in town, only on the interstate's and what not.

there is one on highway 96 across from an affluent neighborhood and a kroger in my home town

What about QT? Their fountain drinks are .79
QuikTrip (QT) is my favorite in the Tucson area. Not sure how large of a convenience store chain QT is, but every one of their stores that I've been in have been clean, well stocked, and impressively run. That's been my experience so far.

It's Sheetz for me here in Virginia, too... with their MySheetz card, you get an additional 3 cents per gallon discount on gas, every 10th beverage is free, every 10th sandwich is free...

As Mitt Romney recently learned, they've got these newfangled computers where you can order any sandwich you want, any way you want... then you go pay for it, and by the time you get back to the sandwich counter, it's ready for you...

You can't beat Sheetz Made To Order subs...

I like Sheetz, too. :)

Needs all day everyday. Nothing is better then a green koolaid slushy (is that the same as an icee?) on a hot summer day.

I'm not sure about this Sheetz, but I know a lot of people in the NE or maybe just Pennsylvania claim that WaWa is the best ever convenience store.

I'll tell ya, even in the middle of winter, the Sheetz semi-tankers are always spotless.

I sure do miss the convenience stores of Texas. Here in the SF area, about 90% of them are a combo of oil change/5 x 5 cubicle of just a few things.

For every 20 types of these stores, there is one 7-11 or am-pm, an occasional shell station that is not a mechanic place.

If I want to go out and get a fountain drink or a can of skoal, I have to drive 20-25 miles to get it because most of the stations only have a limited type of bottles.

I repeat, I can't stand the bay area's convenience stores. Now, once you are well out of the city, they do become more common.

You just got me to say "Wowwwwwww" out loud. A green kool aid slushee sounds amazing! As a kid it was called ecto cooler and was a ghost busters themed drink that came in a juice box. Memories....

Do you have a favorite convenience store and if so why is it your favorite?

I have to admit that since Circle K put all fountain drinks at $.99 I have really moved them ahead of the rest because every now and then, I like an Icee. After all, it gets hot over here in this state.

It was 109 degrees a couple days ago in the ATX. We have it worse. You guys get more heat, we tend to get humidity. But dang, my uncles in that Arizona sun got wrinkled, at least one of 'em. The other one goodness bless his resting soul...

Quiktrip and Racetrac for the low gas prices and spacious ease of access to fuel pumps in their parking lots. It's very rare that I would pay over inflated prices for the convenience of buying anything else there.

Isn't there a Cowboys connection with 7-11? I thought "Cowboys have always been my heroes" mentioned one of our owners buying into it early on.
