The sixth overall pick of the 2012 draft said after he suffered the season-ending injury, he got all the way down to 150 pounds. He’s now up to 172 with hopes of reaching 180 by training camp.

That seems impossible. What was his playing weight last year? I'm nearly the same height and build as Claiborne, and if i dropped to 165, I'd literally be skin and bones. I can't even imagine dropping down to 150. Sounds like he stopped eating altogether.....well, at least he's up to 170 now. that's still very light.

ARLINGTON — Morris Claiborne said Thursday that he’s a month and a half ahead of schedule as he rehabs from rupturing the patellar tendon in his left knee last September.

The Cowboys cornerback, who participated in individual drills during Thursday’s final minicamp practice, expects to be a full-go at the start of training camp in late July.

“I feel good,” Claiborne said. “I’m ready to roll.”

Even if he gets up to 180 he's still too undersized. His biggest weakness was lack of strength and technique. I'm not really confident this guy will do anything. Im glad they didn't pick up his option.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday that Claiborne was going to surprise some people during the final year of his rookie contract.
Considering the expectations of Mo are at the lowest possible level I'm not sure how reassuring that comment is.

Was he starving himself or something? Can't run, and still drops all that weight?

His listed weight is 192 so he must have stopped lifting completely and wasn't eating very much. I do remember Michael Irvin losing a lot of weight rehabbing his ACL after the 89 season. Jimmy said he was alarmed when he saw Irvin said he was as thin as a rail.

I think his listings were usually between 188 and 192.

No way a 170 pound CB is going to stay healthy in today's NFL. If it weren't for a guaranteed contract, Claiborne would have been cut last year.

I think there is a good possibility that Claiborne will be cut. Can't cover, can't tackle, and can't even maintain weight. Why even waste time leting him practice? Give the reps to someone else who at least has a chance of playing.

The reason is, he had a leg injury. He had a choice, keep working out without working his legs and look like he skipped leg day. Or not workout at all and look normal.

Lets face it people, nobody wants to look like they skipped leg day!

Not even a speed bump vs the run at that weight.

Claiborne might want to start visiting Baskin Robbins for the next few weeks and add a couple of their 2300 calorie death shakes to his diet every day.

Honestly, with muscle memory, he can turn up 180, maybe even more, at training camp. He'd be force feeding and that's torture, but it's possible.

He's basically Beasley's size right now, yikes.
