Did you forget that fast who our QB, we're doing what's BEST FOR HIM, what makes him comfortable! You think they're going to change much of the offense??? In the first press conference, Shotty is going to praise Dak and love on him and say we're doing what he likes, and we're not changing much!" lol
Brian will have the initiative to make Trey Lance the starter. I am pumped and fired up now. :lmao:

Well, if Jerry's brilliant plan is to make Witten the head coach in a year or 2, then this was the only way to go.
A guy who's been around but never a head coach, a guy who wants to call his own offensive plays and maybe make a name for himself.

No serious head coach candidate was ever going to take the job agreeing to have Witten on his coaching staff unless it was something stupid like quality control. Two years of coaching in high school? The handwriting was on the wall; you are just a placeholder until Jason is ready. UGH

Schottenheimer will have a Chan Gailey like tenure. In terms of length. Not in terms of making the playoffs.
He doesn't stand a chance. This will probably be a two year deal from the start and I doubt he makes it that long.

I think, with the overwhelmingly negative fan and media attention pointed at this move, that this is going to be the breaking point for a lot of people.

If, like me, you love the Dallas Cowboys and not the Jones', I highly recommend you stop financially supporting this team.

What if they make Schottenheimer the highest paid coach in the league?
Yeah and they signe Dowdle for 10 million a year. BTW, if they sign Dowdle for more than two million it will be so frustrating. He is a dime a dozen back. If you get him back cheap, bring him back. Although, I fear they are going to try to prove they were right and sign him to a higher salary.
