If Jerry's goal was to turn off the fanbase even more this offseason, this was the best choice for HC.

What an utter disaster. There is nothing in this guy's resume that screams HC material. He's never been a high performer at any job he's had. His offenses have been downright mediocre.

But he's a youngish guy desperate for a head gig and that's precisely what Jerry is looking for - desperation. It allows him to then control the coach, force staff members on him (cough, cough, Witten), etc.

If this is indeed the hire, then the era that began when we got trounced by GB in Jan 2024 will mark the beginning of the darkest time in the history of the franchise.

Between Dak’s contract, Schottenheimer at HC, and JJ’s Sith Lord grip on the team— there is literally no hope of contending for a SB until they are gone.

I watched maybe half a game this past season.

A really poor HC hire paired with Dak next season will probably put all my last remaining bits of Cowboys fandom on ice.

As I have said before, why should I waste my time on a team / ownership is this lazy and weak ? Our time is too important to spend on a team which doesn’t care.
