Hmmm.... lets see. The highest rated passer in the NFL last year and the 2nd highest passer rating of all time....not elite....leads the NFL in 4th Quarter come from behind victories...Not elite?

If Romo isn't elite then no one could be elite. The guy is coming off of HOF numbers and has been exceptional his entire career....

And if his detractors claim that he'll be just another year older and slower, that dog won't hunt either, considering the injuries he has successfully played through. The dude is a tough competitor, and will possibly be better this year.

I never knew the level of angst regarding PFF. I can see why though. Whoever put this together definitely doesn't understand "fair evaluation". That said, I find it kind of interesting to see how people that obviously don't like us rate our players.

Tony will be better this year (within the confines of our new strategic balance we found on offense that doesn't make one player go win games). That balanced offense that we ran last year really speaks to the whole "it takes a village" ideology.

Meh... this is about par for PFF. Teams rarely have more than one or two elite players. I accept it for what it tries to be... a broad spectrum tool.

I did take a peek at the giants chart and noted something I've been saying all along. Eli is not elite.

Every day now we get another analyst or media personality ranking teams and players. I actually like the fact that the Cowboys are getting disrespected quite a bit all because they didn't get Murray resigned. That's it. That's the only player they lost that's of any value. Their Defense is already significantly better, Their O-Line is the best in football, and the receiving corps is as good as anyone. It's so ridiculous that one player has devalued the team this much. Randle and McFadden are better than what Clarence Hill thinks. He's wrong like everyone else

You would have to see what other QBs were like. I'm a huge Romo fan, but when an All-Pro guard is considered 'high quality' then perhaps they aren't using a relative scale but a standard.

I agree. If anything, it at least makes it closer to what the definition of "elite" is, instead of the way it's thrown around. If there are 32 starters at each position in the league, 5-6 of them should not be elite. 1 or maybe 2. And "high quality" is hardly an insult.
