You should damn sure be offended by Rowdy since you wear your feelings on your sleeve. The trouble with this country is that a portion of the population minds other people's business and assumes that those people are not capable of speaking for themselves. Yes, I am convinced that 90% of the Native American population is not offended by the word. That is the percentage that comes up when poll after poll is taken. Is there any other segment of the population that should be offended, but isn't?

Rowdy does not offend me. I am sure he doesn't offend others. He is more embarrassing that nffensive. Yet, he seems to be positive and endearing. Maybe he is offensive to you. Not me.

But let me say to you:
The American way has never been "let the others fend for themselves" as you would half it. It should be "I am offended that words and caricatures might offend others and those who might not be able to speak up." That was the genesis for the civil rights movement, the suffrage movement and other movements that sought to liberate and make conditions better for all americans.
But by your statements, I guess you are convinced that no one should speak up for the disenfranchised. Too bad.
Also, you list polls. Poll after poll. Yet I see the photo of an American Indian woman protesting the the name Commanders as she stands near the stadium.
I guess your poll won't back her up. I will back her up, nonetheless.

Ouch! Bob Costas with another nail in the coffin for the name. The name cannot survive if commentators are going to call it offensive during a nationally televised skiins game. Tick, tock, tick, tock.

hah Costas is midget. Physically and mentally. Most people who saw his idiotic little diatribe were more offended that he would interject politics into a sporting even than paused to think consider his viewpoint.

No, some people don't bow down to every libtard PC issue that comes along. There is more important problems in this country.

Well be proud you don't bow down to any whatever you said issues.
Some join the march to equality and some just mock movments. You seem proud to be among the latter. Enjoy the status quo.

This is a movement now? This is a joke. One that has been played on you and many others. Give it a little time and sports teams while have to be named after rocks, sticks and water. I'm sure that somebody will be offended by that too. The term "racist" has been so overused that some people will join any cause to prevent that label from being applied to them. The guilt is strong with you. The victim card will suck you in forever.

Nobody mentioned the R word, though it is probably on your mind.
Get on the correct side of history, for once.
That name for American Indians is on the way out.

There's probably some real Cowboys that are offended by the Dallas "Cowboys" of late. LOL.

It isn't just Commanders that is outlawed. All manner of indian related names have been banned. Some like warriors chiefs, and tribes could fit any number of groups.,
