Well you seemed convinced they are not offended. That is the trouble with this country. We treat fellow human beans like dirt then we are surprised they are offended. Live one year on a reservation then see the Redsk*ns unofficial mascot acting like an idiot and see if you are not offended.
But I am sure nothing offends you.

You should damn sure be offended by Rowdy since you wear your feelings on your sleeve. The trouble with this country is that a portion of the population minds other people's business and assumes that those people are not capable of speaking for themselves. Yes, I am convinced that 90% of the Native American population is not offended by the word. That is the percentage that comes up when poll after poll is taken. Is there any other segment of the population that should be offended, but isn't?

Be considerate of others (except toward opponents and their fans on game day) and think before you make generalized comments that they are not offended. What scientific, extensive and countrywide poll did you take?

It wouldn't matter what poll that he took. You would ignore it just like the other polls that don't support your point of view. Speaking of being considerate of others, is it considerate to assume that a certain group of people are so weak minded that you need to be offended for them?

You can still say Commanders as many times as you want.. and people will know exactly what you mean every time, because there's just one letter taken out.

Its really not a big deal.. the people who run the board get what they want, and we all still know what the word is.

Many fans find it perfectly fine to criticize their own coaches/players, but if a rival fan criticizes their coaches/players, then they leap to their defense. I guess it's the "us against them" thing, even if the criticism consists of essentially the same content.

It's like Sly and the Family Stone said "we are family, I got all my brothers and me". Someone from outside the family joins in family disagreement and everyone in the family turns on the outsider , no matter whose side he was on.

If we get rid of all Redsk*ns, Braves, Indians, Seminoles, Warriors, etc, will we ever really think about Native Americans again? Or will they vanish from our conscience altogether?

Nobody will forget about the Native Americans. They have casinos, casinos dude, casinos. To top it off, some tribes are building some great golf courses to play on after you lose your money.

There hasn't been poll after poll. There was one poll that everyone keeps citing and it was done by a group with possible ties to Dan Snyder and they never released the internals of the poll. For all we know they asked 10 known redslur fans that claimed to be Native American and 9 said they weren't offended. I find that poll very unbelievable because 90% of people in America can't agree on anything and we are expected to believe that 90% of all Native Americans don't find a word offensive that is defined in every single dictionary as racist and derogatory. Sorry, not a chance in hell that is true.

Good! They have a thread in their Around the NFL Forum titled "**** the Cowboys" and it's been pinned to the top since 2007. I don't think they have the right to call anything classless, especially the censoring of the most racist team name in the history of sports.

. The AP poll does not count? I have seen several different polls over the last week with the results being within one or two percentage points of ten percent. Snyder doesn't have influence over all of them. Just because you only know about one poll doesn't mean there are not more.
