If you are referring to the most recent AP poll, that poll did not query Native Americans. It was a poll of the general public which is very different.

Ok, so you find the poll unbelieveable, so you make up a bunch of garbage to try to throw shade on the poll because you have no other cards to play. Why am I not surprised?

You do realize dictionary definitions are not the final word on what words mean, right? You do realize that dictionary definitions change over time? Maybe the 90% of Native Americans would rather believe their own history and heritage then believe the nonsense an unknown person wrote in a book they didn't create.

Go on living in denial. The writing is on the wall that the name will change at some point in the not too distant future. The issue now has major legs with current and former skins not dismissing the issue, the commish gradually softening his stance, sportswriters and websites refusing to use the word, and more and more Native American tribes and organizations coming out in support of a name change. That letter Snyder just sent out that totally backfired on him is a major setback for those trying to defend the continued use of the racial slur.

Sure I do and so does every dictionary out there that defines the term. A term, remember, that has been gone from the vernacular for 50 years because it's was soo widely considered a racist slur. Think about that. It was considered so bad of a word that it was gone from everyday use decades before anyone coined the phrase "political correctness". If you want to be associated with and support the use of that word, that's your business. Me, I happen to think Native Americans deserve respect and should not be subjected to widely accepted racial slurs being used for profit.
