I will say this........some say it's him, others say he doesn't have enough talent around him. I don't know which it is but can both be true? Here's what I do know.......he played the GB like a free-agent rookie when ALL the marbles were aligned in his favor. There was no excuse for that whether you have a good or bad team and frankly I'm not sure he will ever recover from that gam

I'm not sure is, the talk of him and it's his 10th season we should be focusing on how good he's been and his success, we're talking about him now like he's a 2 year starter with much more to learn!! How many more justifications can we make for him, it's time to see him for what he is, until he somehow proves us wrong in these next few years

He was given too much room just to gamble and he didn't protect the ball. Plain and simple. Work from success, not from a hole.

Hill is the guy who sees something happen right in front of his face and then denies it happened.

The positional coaches have all been positive and so far have raised the bar and put some optimism in Cowboys fans. On offense, the hires really emphasize a shift to be run-heavy next season, on defense we should expect less stunts and blitzes and more of a shift to becoming a methodical, Tampa-2 defense looking to force mistakes in a bend-don’t-break scheme.

I have defended Dak and he is not the bum that many like to believe is. But the team was way better when they beat Seattle and Tampa. Like to see them win one game when its at least an even match.

Most mid tier QBs have cracked under pressure (Goff, Cousins, Darnold) and Dak is no different. In theory, I think Dak and the other aforementioned QBs could get on a hot streak that could propel them all the way to their conference championship, but Dak is now too old and broken down to do that. He shouldn’t be asked or expect to be a pocket passer this upcoming season because his ability to play uptempo and roll out were his most productive options, when needing to move the ball. My hope is that there is no way for Jerry to hide the fact that Dak is broken down because that will be apparent within the first few games of the season and that our 2nd stringer or rookie QB will fill in for the remainder of the season. I really hope that Dak is forced to medically retire at that point too.

I don't think Prescott will recover from that GB game either. To be honest I don't know why he would even want to make the playoffs anymore. He's just been mentally damaged and exposed.
The problem is signing the largest contract in the league following the GB game. Jerry hangs him and McCarthy out to dry and then gets injured after a few games. A weird hamstring injury landed him on IR for the season. His pressure is now 100x greater than GB game IMO. I think this Jerry is why is aggressively determined to fix the run game.

Calvin is sounding like a clown, and he's an ok dude, but Dak is 32 and hasn't got the job done. Blame everyone except him, but at some point he has to elevate the team like .Jayden Daniels and Hurts did when it mattered most, in the biggest games. Dak just doesn't have "it" and that's ok just adjust the team.

Shotty knows Dak isn't the QB ppl try to make him out to be, so he wants a run oriented offensive approach.

The thing is for some of us we didn’t see this Dak early on. But looking at how he plays against 49ers and the last Packers game…..I can’t argue against him choking now. And it’s how he does it that bothers me. If he goes out there and throws 4 picks to 4 touchdowns and we score 30 ok. He goes out there looks timid and doesn’t take any risks yet still throws picks. I never get the impression he’s leaving it all out on the field. He needs to get thst conservativeness out of his system because it’s not welling in the post season.

I agree. He thinks he has to make plays and presses and is not equipped like mahomes to do that and ends up in bad plays.

I also think it's a team.issue. Dak had a bad game against GB... he made mistakes. But let's not excuse CD who dropped two passes that hit him in the hand. Great players make plays in great moments. Dak didn't. CD didn't. Then the rest of the team panicked...coach couldn't handle it and it was a disaster. The defense was bad against GB. They were shell shocked.

Against the niners. I thought both years they were the better team and bad match up for a soft team like the cowboys. A physical team playing a finesse team and guess who won.

We have to become.more physical to have success. Otherwise it's more of the same.
Not sure if it can happen that fast specially for a team with a 32 year old QB and holes everywhere

Shotty is doing what you are suppose to do even if you have Mahomes at quarterback. Your offense needs to be run oriented. You can’t throw it 40 times a game and think you are gonna win. You will have the fantasy points but that’s about it.

He shouldn’t be asked or expect to be a pocket passer this upcoming season because his ability to play uptempo and roll out were his most productive options, when needing to move the ball
I honestly believe there is a correlation between the FO's diminishing confidence in him and an aggressive upgrade to the run game. It's just me, but I see them indirectly admitting that the less the ball is in his hand, the better.

I don’t know that it is a wilting under the pressure kind of thing as much as these mediocre starters are not elite because they have flaws. Some of those flaws are fatal and good defenses and smart DCs pull out all the stops to expose those flaws in the playoffs.

Better blocking and scheme. Unable to be great with time...hell, he's fully able. Get him to 3rd and 5 and watch.

And that points to change, not inability. Change is here now.
