Great list and great post. SJ is a chip off the old block and its fools gold to think he will actually hire a GM and let them do their job. All this assumes Jerry dies before Stephen, who is aging worse than David Lee Roth and George Strait combined.

that is why they should let shotty and his new staff pick any new FA and handle the draft for
1 year and see how they do.
Jones boys should just handle the contract and signing part.

Stephen is worse. Younger Jerry would gamble and while he often came up short, he sometimes had a good offseason like 2007 where all of those free agents hit. Since the stadium was built, Stephen and his cheap ways have taken over.

Scrap what you've had success with the past 20 years and follow Phillies formula(a team whom you were better than over those 20 years) sound strategy. Stay the course. You will get there. We likely will have to wait until this Dak thing is over

I love the truth. It’s amazing there are any fans left to defend what Jerry has done to our franchise. Any defense of Jerry is laughable if you’re willing to accept facts.
 
I will add, here are the top ten things more likely to happen than us winning a divisional playoff game.

10. AT&T Stadium curtains are closed for all Cowboys games
9. Gene Jones Jeans are discontinued from the stadium’s Victoria Secrets shop
8. Jerry removes his ball cap (and toupee) in training camp during the national anthem
7. The NFL drops its requirement for the armed forces to pay for the privilege of being “honored” during the pregame and broadcast
6. George Strait gets sober
5. Jerry swears off hookers, Johnny Walker Blue, and NDA’s

If “stay the course” means to take a playoff team that had clear holes and was proven to not be good enough for a deep run, and allow more talent to walk out the door that you bring in for several years in a row…using the excuse of having to pay star players years down the road…then yeah, that’s what they are doing.

We dominated the eagles in the 70’s, most of the 80s and the 90s. We have more SBs and playoff wins in our history.

But man trying to argue that the Cowboys have been better than the eagles the last 20 years is just not factual. That’s just not accurate.

If your “opinion” is that the Cowboys have been better, throwing out the records, playoff wins, etc, ok….you can say that. If you want to be factual, you can’t say that.

Btw on your examples above, I could say between 2021 and 2023, the Cowboys won 36 regular season games, the egirls won 34. Yay! How exciting. Except when you realize in that same period, we won one wild card playoff game and they won 2 including a divisional round playoff game and an NFC championship.

Look I hate the egirls. But it stretches credibility to say we’ve been better than they have in the last 20-25 years. Dude it’s embarrassing.
