I suspect he'll be out of football for the forseealbe future.

I doubt it. Someone will pick up him on the PS. He is still very young and he showed some skills in college. He just isn't ready for the Pros yet.

btw, I think he has more value than Holley. Of course, they play different positions, which makes a difference when you are assigning guys to the PS.

I hope all 3 of you are right.

I dont think the cowboys will do it or they should, smith just didnt do anything to me. Now, what I would do if i was the cowboys, on scout teams, I would use Holley as the wildcat QB or Wr, and let them practice against him. Would help us in my mind when we play the falcons, and eagles with their wildcat plays.

Of course, what do i know,

Was there talk we wanted to move him to the PS if he got through waivers?

Good Bye Holley?

Jerry will keep Holley around for the entire season, as a favor to Micheal Irvin.

The Browns had a pretty high waiver claim, so it's possible someone else will claim him.

But if he clears waivers, who from the PS goes?

Rudy Carpenter, QB, ASU
Julius Crosslin, FB, OSU
Jessee Holley, WR, UNC
Manuel Johnson, WR, OU
Chandler Scott, TE, Iowa
Travis Bright, G, BYU
Marcus Dixon, DE, HU
Mike Mickens, CB, Cinn

My guess is Chandler Scott because if one of our TEs goes down, Rodney Hannah and Tony Curtis are available. Either him or Jessee Holley/Manue Johnson, no ned for 2 WRs.

I hope not. Our WRs have done well, we don't need 2 more on the PS. Let him go.

McGee has started practicing, so maybe he's gotten well enough that they don't need Rudy.

Rudy Carpenter will be the player waived. With Mcgee back no need to have 4 QB's on the roster.

He is a classic Jerry pick, hopefully Campo can work his magic!

Wouldn't mind if we brought DeAngelo Smith back to the practice squad.

I was surprised to see the other player they waived, Leon Williams. He's a pretty athletic ILB from The U. I wouldn't mind taking a look at him.

Agreed. Since we have 3 QBS, we don't need a 4th on the PS.

Gotta disagree.

This guy sucks, IMO.

I mean, he lost a foot race to white Kicker.
granted it was Lord Beuhler... but still.

I think D. Smith has no potential.

I heard that was the intention originally. Of course, I cannot remember where I heard it, or if it was credible.
