[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]BEREA, Ohio (AP) -Browns coach Eric Mangini continued his roster makeover, signing free agent wide receiver Ray Ventrone and offensive lineman Billy Yates.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]The Browns also waived defensive back DeAngelo Smith.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]Mangini coached both Ventrone and Yates with New England in 2005. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Ventrone is expected to play on Cleveland's special teams. He was waived by the Patriots earlier this month.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]Yates (6-2, 305) made 12 starts over four seasons with New England. He was released by the Patriots on Sept. 4.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]Cleveland's roster has 24 new players under Mangini, who was hired in January after being fired by the New York Jets.[/FONT]
