Just because a lot of people say the same stupid thing doesn't make it any less stupid. We're all guilty of it, myself included. I mean I try to say "The Cowboys are _ and _ with Dak at QB against _____" but sometimes I get lazy and just say "Dak is... " It's pure laziness. The difference is I recognize it as such and try to stay away from it. Instead of touting it like some magic formula to determine wins and losses.

Agreed. Im not saying i approve. Or that its a reliable metric. Just a fact....we shouldnt be offended it applies to dak. It applies to all qb. Notably, recently....stafford....as we debate his performance at lions and chargers.

Thing is.. we all watch the Cowboys games.. and at least to some extent can gauge whether the QB (or any player) was a big reason why we won or lost. The only real criticism I have of Dak is that on those days when the rest of the team is in a funk, he seems to be right there with them. I spend the entire game waiting for him to do something to snap himself (and the team) out of it. For me the thing that he can do that best inspires the team is run.. Get out and lower the boom on some lil DB coming up to tackle him. Hell lower the boom on a linebacker.. That always fires his team up.. and gets his juices flowing too.

Since the injury he has not done a lot of that and I think it needs to come back. That's what it means to put the team on your back.. It doesn't mean throwing it 50 times for 500 yards and losing because you let the other team get up 3 scores. It means the minute you sense that the team is in that funk, you do whatever the hell it takes to break them out of it. In the FIRST quarter... not the 3rd or 4th.

More than anything .. that's what I want to see from Dak.. I know his passing will start out rusty after all this time off. What can't start out rusty is his will to win. He needs to do whatever it takes to keep the chains moving and put the ball in the end zone. That's the "leadership" I want to see.. Not sitting on the bench staring blankly at the i-pad (yes I know it's a surface.. sue me) ....

I object to being accused of denier or hater. Never said any such thing. I ask for evidence....and i either get crickets or "i just know you are".

see this is the thing about you that is consistant. You know darn good and well Im too frikken lazy to go through your post history and pull out the times you are in agreement with the usual trolls. I dont care that much. You have implied lately that you wanted to keep Rush in and you know it. You have been irritated that we call him noodle arm (which it is). You say things then you purposely ignore it in the future and say stuff like go back and show me knowing all too full well most of us dont care that much to go searching. Then you say we lie.


How bout this you go back and look through your own post history and see how many times you have agreed with the likes of the Dak deniers I wont mention the names you know who they are. Or see how many of your statements have been liked by them this whole Rush thing is just the tip of the iceberg. Honestly i dont care you can love who you want to love and not love who you dont want.I wont lose sleep either way. You are one of the most emotional posters on the board and you have been since the Ranch days.

I never once said Cooper should be the starter. Me giving him credit for his accomplishments without caveat...in your head...is me denying Dak.

So me asking your for your proof, and firmly stating I am not what you say I am..is "emotional"? If anything, I'd say YOUR reply is "emotional". No facts...just your emotion. Just your inference and interpretation about what I say.

You'd think if I am as bad as you say....you could EASILY find something you are talking about. "too lazy"....means it's too hard to find. I'd say impossible. I wouldn;t look either if I were you.

It would appear I owe you an apology Steve while i didnt go back through alot it seems i mistook your support of Cooper to be more than it really was. I even saw a post where you specifically said you were in favor of dak being the starter. I could of sworn i saw it earlier but unless i can find it ill own up to possibly projecting your disdain for dak. I actually could only find a few things remotely connect i posted them. Im too lazy to look further so Ill have to assume that i was wrong.

How does Dak perform against Super Bowl Teams? I do remember a decent showing last year in Tampa....but on average?

We beat the two super bowl teams and a solid giants team.
Those are legitimate wins by a "nobody wants noodle arm" cooper haters.

Im taking a step back with cooper. Dak is back...so im going all in with him. Hope he can charge up our offense and help the defense even more.

He went 4 and 1 starting. I'll take it. Remember how frustrated we all were with Brandon Weeden and then Matt Cassel playing in relief of Romo?
