Look at next year's mock and then look at his top rated WRs.

And can he play as good as he looks like he can? Or is he like Spellman and just a physical specimine and not that much substance to his game?
He's a monster. Reminds me a bit of Bruce Smith intensity wise, but his game isn't that developed. Still is very good. I think he's about 260 pounds or so.

You think this years WR class is good, wait till next year.

DeSean Jackson
Mario Manningham
Limas Sweed
A Bowman

sick!!!!!!!!!

Eh I'd much rather have Sweed.
Seriously though, how many good Michigan WRs have there been that have gone early as top prospect types? Im kinda curious.

Simply... not many.

I would definitely take McFadden over Slaton because of the size/speed ratio. I'm sure McFadden runs a 4.3/4.4 in his sleep but has outstanding size for a running back.

I'm nowhere near as big of a fan of Manningham as you are (obviously) but I don't think it's fair to judge him against past Wolverines WRs. For years, Penn State RBs were thought to be the joke of the league. Then Larry Johnson came along. The point? Judge a prospect for what they do on the field and do during workouts, not for what school they come from.

McFadden will easily be the 1st RB off the board.

I am with you on that... it was unfair to people to label Jarret as Mike Williams for the same reason.

The past team players have no impact on the current players.

I love Laurenitis being an Ohio State fan, but another LB?

Get used to it, this is the 3-4. Jerry said 20+% of our 45 man game day roster could be LBs. HE also said he would have liked to come away from this draft with 2 more, another ILB & another OLB. Sound like we are done for the next few years? Not to me it doesn't.

But McFadden played in the SEC

Slaton played in the Big East

Huge difference

I"D be little more concerned with body type and system than where they played. Rice and Sweetness didn't need the SEC. Having said that, you know Jerry and Co. would take D Mac a 100 times over before Slaton. BUT, if MB3 is our short yardage banger(WHich he is) Slaton could fit right in as a 1st and 2nd down type guy if by chance Cleveland should win 6-7 games and we are in the 7-11 area with that pick.

Guess what, we may get 2 of them!!!!!
I certainly hope not. Here's hoping we have #1 and #32 next year.

Why take a risk on Slaton when you have a sure thing in McFadden?
