I think they'd like to sneak him in the team for the special teams ability alone

Getting him time at another position seems a good way to justify having him on the roster

“There’s no question it’s difficult for any quarterback who comes into the league, they’re having to navigate around tall offensive linemen, especially a guy who is 6-10,”
NOT if they move him to the TE position. Why not try him out. The OTAs and minicamp started last month. As well as the first time the staff gets to see all the players on the 90 man roster work together, it also can serve as a time to try some things out. That's already the plan with Collins and Cooper as they look for the best way to replace Free.

I like that a big tall TE and would be a good blocker for a TE

you can't teach size.....keep him for defense on long FGs. Put him right up the middle and make him just jump with his hands up, he has to get at least a couple.

Well, you do have to know he did run a 5.42 at the combine.

I'm all for trying things out, but Skipper is just too slow of foot to play TE. Heck, he's too slow to play OT right now. He needs alot of work.

I have my doubts about his playing in the interior but we'll see. I'm hoping they find either a roster spot for him or on the PS so he can develop. Can you imagine this guy playing tackle with those arms and that length. If his feet are any good then he might just develop. And if he does then he could be a trend setter.
FG and XP block team.
