Well, you do have to know he did run a 5.42 at the combine.

I'm all for trying things out, but Skipper is just too slow of foot to play TE. Heck, he's too slow to play OT right now. He needs alot of work.

Use him in the redzone.

Use him in the redzone.

His 3 cone was actually pretty good for a man of his size, but I see no reason to do it when you have Zeke, Dez, even Rico and such.

We don't even know if he could catch the ball. Maybe on a once in a lifetime trick play, who knows.

Just something that was written in blogging the boys. He has to make the team 1st as an OL.

you can't teach size.....keep him for defense on long FGs. Put him right up the middle and make him just jump with his hands up, he has to get at least a couple.
David Irving is only 3" shorter but his arms are about 6" longer and Irving's vert is 38" as compared to Skipper at 26 (12 inch diff).

Oh ok. Well I watch the Hogs, never seen him do it there. DMac threw alot of passes in college, yet not a part of his game anymore.

If Skipper hasn't done it in college, I have to wonder why blogging with boys would think he can all of a sudden do it now in the pros.

We can have the best talented group of players on a PS this year.....

We could have a pretty good group in Skipper, and say if White can be stashed there as well, maybe the TE Barwin, a few WR, say if Brown can be stashed there if he doesn't make the team.cor even Gathers, but I think he makes it this year.
Watch a the LB, and a few DL, like Carrell or Ivie or both. Lenny Jones the DL or LB whatever they have him at.
Other teams will steal some of them. Draft picks are harder to keep than UDFAs.

Usually guys that tall if they could jump would be playing basketball. Most guys I have been around that tall and that big do not get a lot of lift when they jump. Same reason short arm guys can bench press more, more easily.

I have my doubts about his playing in the interior but we'll see. I'm hoping they find either a roster spot for him or on the PS so he can develop. Can you imagine this guy playing tackle with those arms and that length. If his feet are any good then he might just develop. And if he does then he could be a trend setter.

I think Big Jerry Crafts played some guard and he was 6'10 ish and stuck in the league for a long time.

Flozell Adams was 6'7" and started out at left guard...also had a hearing defect.

That's one heck of an endorsement from Pollack--not really.
