Coach D in hospital--Won't be there tonight....early reports: appendicitis

NP. I don't think it burst. You can feel the pain in your side for a while and it really hurts. So unless he ignored it completely, he probably has enough time to get that appendectomy. I spent almost 7 hours in the hospital before I even went under the knife.

Same here. Did you get the upper right quadrant pain? I felt kind of nauseous also.

Wes Phillips, you have big shoes to fill my man. Dallas, play for your coach. We'll all pray for him.

The players couldn't be motivated for a better cause.

Pain right in the side of my upper stomach. Terrible pain, like a knot. My Dr. said, "don't worry, I've only lost one patient."

But it really was no big deal. I'm glad they saved my life though. It's a serious thing because you can die from it.

Shouldn't be any difference for special teams. Just do the same thing Coach D has been preaching all year.

How much you think Jerry's coat cost?

Question. Ever since I had my appendectomy, every time I push on my abdomen it hurts. I mean everywhere when I push on my abdomen it hurts and feels sore. Could peritonitis result from an appendectomy? Doctors anyone? lol

Peritinitus is a burst appendix. I had internal pain for around 5 months due to the clean up of the poison and the internal stitches. I gradually got back to normal after the pain stopped and I could exercise properly.

My understanding of an appendix op now is it's an overnight deal using keyhole surgery unlike my 36 stitches. It's no big deal and recovery should be swift.

this guy has had a horrible year, hope he is back for the eagles game.

LANDOVER, Md. -- Dallas Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis is undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy surgery Sunday night and will not attend the game against the Washington Commanders, his father-in-law Dan Reeves said.

Reeves said DeCamillis underwent surgery 90 minutes before kickoff.

Team officials said they did not have further details.

DeCamillis arrived to the Washington, D.C., area with the team Saturday afternoon but was having problems Sunday morning.

Wes Phillips, the son of head coach Wade Phillips, will handle special teams duties along with other coaches.

Watch this tough son of a biscuit eater show up for the game. :D

Yes, I am dreaming about how fired up that would make the team.

Same here. Mine wasn't a burst, but rather slow leak. Over a period of months. I had Peritinitus bad. I have a about 8 inch scar, which has grown about 4 more inches due to an ever expanding waste line. :)

The soreness will eventually subside. Just don't try to push yourself to hard to soon.
