I have never been a fan of this coach. But after week 1, he's growing on me. A lot of people are down on this coach, make fun of this coach, and outright disrespect him. But he had this team ready week 1 despite no preseason action for the starters. That's not easy to do. He had to achieve game speed through practice. Because if a player gets injured in practice, it's not seen as bad as if they're injured in a preseason game. Even though it is essentially the same thing.

BigMac had these guys ready to roll week 1. Can't say the same for the Giants head coach. Lets stop with the talk about him being the worst coach in the NFC East. Because it's not even close.

He’s done a good job, very good. A true culture changer imo. He gets extra credit from me, because the 2 nuts he works for get on radio and in front of the camera and try to sabotage the team each and every week. There’s a lot on Big Mike’s plate, tongue in cheek.

I have always liked and respected McCarthy as a coach. He has completely changed the football culture in Dallas after 3 years. No coach since Parcells, Johnson before that, Landry before that, has had the positive impact McCarthy has had with this club. Enjoy the ride.

Big Mike is a damn good football coach. He’s brought in change and never demanded the spotlight. His player respect him and they work hard for him, you can see it from top to bottom. He’s brought in coaches that didn’t work and quickly made changes to correct that. He’s brought in coaches who really do teach and build relationships with players. Big fan of coach.

Love the culture change over the last 3 years and how the roster has been constructed, KM has been holding this team back with his nonsense/no flow play calls to boost his credentials to be a HC. Glad that monkey is off our backs and onto the chargers back now.

He gets way too much hate nationally and from our own fanbase
I don’t always agree with his decisions but overal he’s a good coach and he called a really good game last week
One drive that stuck out to me was when we got first and goal from the 5 and he ran it on back to back plays. That’s where I think Moore got too cute

He's done a good job here...given the culture he inherited and working with The Jones'.

I'm ecstatic JG is gone ...that was a long tough spell. And KM for that matter.

I'm disappointed in some fans' nickname for Mike. Not sure what they think they are accomplishing other than discredit.

Well that's odd only after game one somehow you guys got respect for the guy even though all off season leading up to game one did he supposed to be on the hot seat I mean is he off the hot seat??

Please don't be a hypocrite this man is a Super Bowl winning team that everyone said was holding Aaron Rodgers back from winning another Super Bowl so they fired him everybody said that the reason he got the job here is he had no other choices that he sat out a year they said he lied when they came in here about analytics and that didn't know what he's doing I mean I could go on for about an hour of the smack talk about this coach all the way up till game one this year..

It's the same nonsense about the quarterback you guys keep talking you back yourself into a corner and then you gotta come and have one of these I apologize maybe I was wrong and I have egg on my faces how about this keep the ridiculous narratives that turn out to be mostly false to yourselves??

I'm still betting most of us hope we get to an NFC championship game and get that monkey off our back but we need to wait until we see the context and the story on wind about how we didn't make it there before we start blaming the coach or the quarterback

serious this place just black balls everyone they literally just make narratives they they get on somebody they don't like and they never stop... Then they gotta come in and say oh maybe I was wrong.. Mike has always been this way he will always be this way yet there's still people saying they don't like his clock management but we can go to 32 teams and find a bunch of coaches that have had made the wrong decisions in crunch time and it happens...

You’re living in the moment. If the Cowboys lose on Sunday to the Jets you won’t be feeling as good about McCarthy. I’m not going to be giving him or anyone else any kudos after week one. We’ll see how the season plays out and if we do anything in the playoffs if we make them. You can almost bet we won’t make it through the season without seeing a fire McCarthy thread. This is year four with him and we need to make a strong run in the playoffs. If we don’t McCarthy may not be back next season. Any step back from what we’ve done the past two seasons and he likely won’t return.

He's building a winner.
We’ll find out this season. Everyone is excited about the big blowout win on opening day and some are making some very bold predictions, but let’s see what happens when the team eventually suffers a letdown. We all know, at least those of us who are living in a world of reality that there’s going be some games this season, where it’s not going to go our way and the reactions on the board are going to be completely different than what we’re seeing this week. I want to see if this team can handle success and not become complacent. Everyone is jumping for joy right now and a few are already popping the champagne, but let’s see how the team is playing in December and January.
