Just after last week....?
LOL, yep,. the Giants coach is not as stupid as he looked last week and MM is not as smart as he looked either. People need to get control of their overreactions. In a few weeks, some may be wanting MM's head on a platter....so just hold your horses.

Mike McCarthy is along for the ride IMO. Will McClay is buying the groceries, and Quinn has been the culture-changer on defense. Remember how none of our DBs could catch a cold from 2008-2020? Part of it's a talent issue, but none of those defenses attacked the ball like Quinn's guys are doing.

KM built two top-five offenses by PPG in three years, so McCarthy needs to crack the top five this year just to tread water. He has a very similar talent level to what Moore had in '22, so let's see what he can do with it.

I gained a new respect for him after we put the whooping on the Giant's and he always kept a professional composure unlike Sirianni who is always annoyingly playing to the camera.

I think he is the most underrated head coach in the NFL. He’s a Super Bowl winner who coaches teams that make the playoffs pretty much every year.

He’s had a similar career compared to guys like Payton and Harbaugh, but doesn’t receive nearly the same amount of praise.

I have never been a fan of this coach. But after week 1, he's growing on me. A lot of people are down on this coach, make fun of this coach, and outright disrespect him. But he had this team ready week 1 despite no preseason action for the starters. That's not easy to do. He had to achieve game speed through practice. Because if a player gets injured in practice, it's not seen as bad as if they're injured in a preseason game. Even though it is essentially the same thing.

BigMac had these guys ready to roll week 1. Can't say the same for the Giants head coach. Lets stop with the talk about him being the worst coach in the NFC East. Because it's not even close.
His culture and affect on the team overall his been impossible not to notice. Head and shoulders way above the hapless Garrett. We had no shot with Garrett after watching what a REAL HC can do to your franchise.

And the lack of penalties now? Its almost like we forgot it was a problem for soo long.

How can he not be? This team is light years better than it was before he got here.

Well, I wouldn't say he's growing on me but...I do like the way he's underplayed the beatdown we put on the Giants. The children watch the parent(s) to see how much "credit" one good event gives them...or will you consistently hold them accountable. Someone mentioned how Soriani and other coaches act like children running up and down the sidelines. I like the measured approach. Wish there was a tad more passion, but...I'll take it.

We’ll revisit this topic in January and see how everyone feels about McCarthy. Fans feel a whole lot different about him after we lose games. This fan base lives from week to week with players and coaches. Jason Garrett got his share of love after some impressive wins. I remember a thread very similar about him once and it was after an impressive win. Feelings can change real quick with fans after an impressive win, or an embarrassing loss.

If people do not see the difference between before he started and after, I don't know what to say. In my view, it has been a very steep progression to what might be the best team i have seen. I like him too, and the last few seasons have been some of my favorites. The cowboys are tuff
