The title "growing" indicates a procession of stages. Maybe it's just begun rather than finalized. As in if things continue to go well so will his "growing of appreciation"?

You reference "fan bashers".....yet when someone posts a positive look...he gets a lecture? Brake tapping?
yes, indeed, brake tap after just one mere week.

I'm worried about this response. We had the opportunity to be positive, to come together and unite as fans to support our team, and especially our coach who seems to have taken control of this team. In a way that MANY...maybe even you...said was impossible with Jerry as the owner for any coach here.

Instead we get this negative divisive ranting lecture.

You just can't win with some people.

PS: Did you notice the thread tile is "growing on me". As in it's a process...the OP and many others seem to be turning a new leaf....buying into a system that just got dramatically changed.

You'd think we'd support and encourage that rather than criticize.
I hate to break it to you but I earned it because I've been respecting Mike McCarthy since day one I've been on his side since day one been respecting Prescott since day one I get to come on here and say I told you so... That's not negative that's just stating a fact I wanted to remind people all the way up before game one all the talk about Mike McCarthy 's job being on the line he's on the hot seat how he can't manage a game he's bad with time probably gonna be an outdated play caller because you know way back when he had Aaron Rodgers it was probably just Aaron Rodgers and that he hasn't called places so long it probably wasn't gonna work out I just wanna remind you I keep scores and I remember and I bookmarked these things in my memory so that when we get somebody that comes on and admits they were wrong I wanna remind everybody else how they were acting towards a certain player or coach just two weeks ago.. Select lecture me about lecturing when I have a right to come in and say I told you so...

And by the way I don't think there's one threat in this entire existence of any of these Cowboys for him that's all positive or all negative it's gonna be a mixed bag of opinions and I came on here and gave my opinion what you gonna do now???

It's not a lecture it's a grave reminder to stop even being negative and ripping players and coaches and then having to come back and apologize with egg on your face how about we just start positive from the beginning and not make Mike McCarthy look like a buffoon and make like Prescott is some below average quarterback that can't get it done I'm gonna keep reminding people just like you remind them of Ezekiel Elliott's greatness when they do nothing but bash him,,... Not a lecture, it's I told you so:oldcouple:again let me have to remind people and you're gonna pick against the player say Terence Steele or others or a coach or quarterback and then realize you were very very wrong how about don't do that in the first place so no it's a reminder not a lecture..

Mike McCarthy is along for the ride IMO. Will McClay is buying the groceries, and Quinn has been the culture-changer on defense. Remember how none of our DBs could catch a cold from 2008-2020? Part of it's a talent issue, but none of those defenses attacked the ball like Quinn's guys are doing.

KM built two top-five offenses by PPG in three years, so McCarthy needs to crack the top five this year just to tread water. He has a very similar talent level to what Moore had in '22, so let's see what he can do with it.
Let's be honest. McCarthy now has more talent than Moore had in all of his years here. If he doesn't crack the top 5, in scoring (I couldn't care less about yards), then he's not on the same level as Moore. It has yet to be seen if Moore's success was a product of the Cowboys underrated offense the past few years, but it could be. So far, from the small sample size we have, McCarthy is looking good. I agree.

One of the best things that makes McCarthy so good, though, is the fact that we essentially have two head coaches on the team, unless you don't think Dan Quinn qualifies as a head coach. Quinn has helped both McCarthy and Moore look good.

Let's see how it goes tomorrow vs. the Jets.

Micah has said multiple times he would follow Quinn wherever he goes.
i feel like this keeps getting misrepresented. he's said "i'd follow him anywhere" but in the spirit of a general in war, or to the ends of the earth. not a literal "i'm going to whichever team he goes to"

I have never been a fan of this coach. But after week 1, he's growing on me. A lot of people are down on this coach, make fun of this coach, and outright disrespect him. But he had this team ready week 1 despite no preseason action for the starters. That's not easy to do. He had to achieve game speed through practice. Because if a player gets injured in practice, it's not seen as bad as if they're injured in a preseason game. Even though it is essentially the same thing.

BigMac had these guys ready to roll week 1. Can't say the same for the Giants head coach. Lets stop with the talk about him being the worst coach in the NFC East. Because it's not even close.
I'm liking MM more now that he's in charge of the offense. It's hard to evaluate these head coaches because of the front office's constant meddling, choosing coordinators, assistants, players. They lucked into bringing in a coach with a West Coast background which seems to be what Dak needs,,, and then of course there's lucking into DQ. WIthout him we're just another team with a decent offense,,, just like every other year for the past two decades.

He’s done a good job, very good. A true culture changer imo. He gets extra credit from me, because the 2 nuts he works for get on radio and in front of the camera and try to sabotage the team each and every week. There’s a lot on Big Mike’s plate, tongue in cheek.
He’s had the patience to wait out what Jerry set him up with and tries to meddle with, and fully realize his vision by year 3.

It’s not just “lucking into” DQ. But keeping him wanting to stay that’s the real win. He must also be handling Jerry really well behind the scenes.

He’s brought organization, structure and a true coaching philosophy. No more head coach in-training.

Is he perfect? Of course not. But he’s damn solid.

I honestly hated the signing of MM and thought he was more a bi product of Rodgers and co. Then he brought in his buddies that didn't work out to well.

Seems like Jerry has given him more control lately and has turned the culture around

We’ll find out this season. Everyone is excited about the big blowout win on opening day and some are making some very bold predictions, but let’s see what happens when the team eventually suffers a letdown. We all know, at least those of us who are living in a world of reality that there’s going be some games this season, where it’s not going to go our way and the reactions on the board are going to be completely different than what we’re seeing this week. I want to see if this team can handle success and not become complacent. Everyone is jumping for joy right now and a few are already popping the champagne, but let’s see how the team is playing in December and January.
The boards will change with just one loss. The Jekyll and Hyde effect.

It’s called the live in the moment effect. One loss will change the mindset of a lot of fans on the board, especially if it’s to a much lesser team. We’re bound to stink it up against someone sooner or later. We’ll just have to see how far into the season before it happens.
