We'd be lucky to get into February.I hope you’re feeling the same way about him come December, January and into February.

It takes some luck, no matter how good a team to get to February. We'd be lucky to get into February.
We agree on a lot of things. But when you move the goal posts, I won’t deal with that.I asked you a simple question.
Lmao, this is the type of post that these casuals expose themselves. Wouldn't know football if it hit em in the face.Mike McCarthy is along for the ride IMO. Will McClay is buying the groceries, and Quinn has been the culture-changer on defense. Remember how none of our DBs could catch a cold from 2008-2020? Part of it's a talent issue, but none of those defenses attacked the ball like Quinn's guys are doing.
KM built two top-five offenses by PPG in three years, so McCarthy needs to crack the top five this year just to tread water. He has a very similar talent level to what Moore had in '22, so let's see what he can do with it.
Well seeing as how McCarthy had a reputation as a winning Head Coach in this league well before Dan Quinn was heard of, that will make your opening sentence false.I like McCarthy, but his reputation benefits greatly from standing on the shoulders of Quinn. I need to see more from the offense before I kiss McCarthy’s feet. I’m glad he’s calling plays now. That shows ownership.
At the end of the day, we may find that McCarthy is just the lucky man who coaches for a team that has a generational defense and DC, an incredible scouting and pro personnel department, and a perfect combo of vets and young players at the right stage of their career.
The hard question (which we might have to ask after this season) is: Would you lose Quinn to keep McCarthy as head coach, or dismiss McCarthy and make Quinn your HC? Ask yourself that knowing that Micah has said multiple times he would follow Quinn wherever he goes.
Agree with all of that. However, and this isnt a dig on anyone, this is the scenario we thrive at, early lead manage the game. The success will depend on how McCarthy maps out the game play when we're struggling/ trailing a good defense.I have never been a fan of this coach. But after week 1, he's growing on me. A lot of people are down on this coach, make fun of this coach, and outright disrespect him. But he had this team ready week 1 despite no preseason action for the starters. That's not easy to do. He had to achieve game speed through practice. Because if a player gets injured in practice, it's not seen as bad as if they're injured in a preseason game. Even though it is essentially the same thing.
BigMac had these guys ready to roll week 1. Can't say the same for the Giants head coach. Lets stop with the talk about him being the worst coach in the NFC East. Because it's not even close.
I'm worried about this response. We had the opportunity to be positive, to come together and unite as fans to support our team, and especially our coach who seems to have taken control of this team. In a way that MANY...maybe even you...said was impossible with Jerry as the owner for any coach here.Well that's odd only after game one somehow you guys got respect for the guy even though all off season leading up to game one did he supposed to be on the hot seat I mean is he off the hot seat??
Please don't be a hypocrite this man is a Super Bowl winning team that everyone said was holding Aaron Rodgers back from winning another Super Bowl so they fired him everybody said that the reason he got the job here is he had no other choices that he sat out a year they said he lied when they came in here about analytics and that didn't know what he's doing I mean I could go on for about an hour of the smack talk about this coach all the way up till game one this year..
It's the same nonsense about the quarterback you guys keep talking you back yourself into a corner and then you gotta come and have one of these I apologize maybe I was wrong and I have egg on my faces how about this keep the ridiculous narratives that turn out to be mostly false to yourselves??
I'm still betting most of us hope we get to an NFC championship game and get that monkey off our back but we need to wait until we see the context and the story on wind about how we didn't make it there before we start blaming the coach or the quarterback
serious this place just black balls everyone they literally just make narratives they they get on somebody they don't like and they never stop... Then they gotta come in and say oh maybe I was wrong.. Mike has always been this way he will always be this way yet there's still people saying they don't like his clock management but we can go to 32 teams and find a bunch of coaches that have had made the wrong decisions in crunch time and it happens...
??? That makes no sense. That’s like saying because DLaw was good before Micah got here, he can’t possibly be benefiting from Micah’s successWell seeing as how McCarthy had a reputation as a winning Head Coach in this league well before Dan Quinn was heard of, that will make your opening sentence false.
Thats an understatement. Can’t believe this team wasted 10 years of hall of fame players under that absolute fraud of a coach. He’s far better than Garrett.
Exactly. Well said, thank you. We’ll find out this season. Everyone is excited about the big blowout win on opening day and some are making some very bold predictions, but let’s see what happens when the team eventually suffers a letdown. We all know, at least those of us who are living in a world of reality that there’s going be some games this season, where it’s not going to go our way and the reactions on the board are going to be completely different than what we’re seeing this week. I want to see if this team can handle success and not become complacent. Everyone is jumping for joy right now and a few are already popping the champagne, but let’s see how the team is playing in December and January.
It’s funny how some use the excuse moving the goal posts when they don’t want to answer a question. You said McCarthy has been 12-5 the past two seasons. I simply asked If we go 12-5 again and it still doesn’t lead to at least a divisional round playoff win, do you think a lot of fans are going to be satisfied and still believe in McCarthy? You should be able to come up with an answer to that, but you don’t want respond to anything that might require a negative response. We agree on a lot of things. But when you move the goal posts, I won’t deal with that.
The featured thread post did mentioned " after week 1 " ...so that's what my respond was about, butIt’s not just 1 week. He’s 24-10 the last 2 years. Have you been on the far side of the moon?
No.??? That makes no sense. That’s like saying because DLaw was good before Micah got here, he can’t possibly be benefiting from Micah’s success
The title "growing" indicates a procession of stages. Maybe it's just begun rather than finalized. As in if things continue to go well so will his "growing of appreciation"?The featured thread post did mentioned " after week 1 " ...so that's what my respond was about, but
I can see why you're adding on more to a different tale.
- Even after 24-10 W/L record and 2 playoff appearances (and exits) he is supposedly still
on the " Hot Seat " whether that be media nitpicks or fans bashers.
- And if we do not advance beyond the usual playoff exits -regardless of a nice regular season record,
combined with prime HC candidate Dan Quinn looming in the background, it's gonna still be a challenge
for the Big Mac, . if/until we get over that final big hurdle hump.
