I want to put the spotlight on our defensive genius Marinelli. Do we plan on coming up with anything to combat these pick plays that we haven't been able to defend the last 3 weeks?

Those pick plays occur every trip down the floor in BB, but those guys practice switch offs all year. Looks like it would be simple for the guy being picked to stop and cover the blocker and have the other guy run with the targeted receiver, but you'd need to be pressing with both defenders. I'm sure we'd muck it up and give up a TD.

Coach Clapper is killing me. When you are coming off four losses in a row and possibly facing five...

YOU DON'T PLAY CONSERVATIVE.

You play to win the freaking game not wuss out and try to play not to lose.

Yet again poor coaching snatched a loss from what should have been a victory.

I don't give a crap if he claps or not. Has zero effect on winning or losing.

I wonder if Cassel was told not to check out of plays. Does he know the playbook well enough to audible? It's not just the coaches who are liable for the playcalling. Cassel has to recognize when to run or not. I didn't read the entire thread but changing plays at the LOS is football 101.

His strengths were highlighted last year when we stayed healthy and his weaknesses have been highlighted this year when things went bad. He picked the perfect time for a contract year.

He is not a Wartime consigliere just like Tom Hagen. Too much brain and not enough brawn.

Garrett is basically a JAG coach. He can do enough to stay out of the way and not screw up when the talent disparity is overwhelming, but when we're undermanned, or the playing field is relatively even, he gives you nothing to tilt the scales in his direction.

It's depressing to go into almost every game knowing you are at a schematic disadvantage.

Garrett has had one good year his entire coaching tenure here. one.

And some of you act like he's a legend above reproach. LOL.

Dude, how dare you question the next Tom Landry..........just look at these impressive results that you are scoffing at.

Year 1..................8-8
Year 2..................8-8
Year 3..................8-8
Year 4..................12-4 (this is called an "outlier" in statistics, when one date point is way outside the mean regression of all the other data points)
Year 5..................2-5

We need to build of statue of him outside of the stadium, right next to Landry.:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

For all you Garret haters, please go root for a team that has the IDEAL COACHING STAFF you desire. I for one don't want nothin to do with fellow fans who misguidedly blame the coaches for losses that really fall on the shoulders of piss poor QB's and an idiotic Front office that refused to sign a proven Backup QB the past 2 years...

Did you say the same thing about Campo when he was the HC? Or even Wade?

Last season might have been the worst thing that could have happened. It got us Garrett for a few more years, hid the need for a competent back-up QB and gave them the illusion that anyone could run behind that line.

The brain-trust at Valley Ranch is really concerning...........

If he can't or isn't allowed, why is he starting?

i have never been more disappointed at garret than I was today. We could of squeaked a win today if he hadn't of gone conservative in the 4th quarter. It was a shame to the defense after they done all they could in the 4th quarter. When this team so desperately needed a win, a spark, a jolt, you sir tucked tailed and failed miserably. 3 straight runs!! Come on!! Grow a pair, grab a bucket and help keep this ship afloat! Pathetic!

Does his clapping actually hurt the team?? NO, it is just really, REALLY, REALLY annoying but his inability to ever adjust and ultra conservative play are a huge problem. Romo has covered all of Garretts warts which are on full display now!!!!
