Coaches Fleeing? Why?

Does anyone know which former Wade guys are available and not locked up in contracts? It would be good to see him build his own D staff

This is how I see it panning out

Dat Nguyen- LB Coach
Dennis Allen- DL Coach
Ronnie Bradford- DB Coach

Bowles feels jaded because he thought he should be promoted to DC when Phillips came over and they gave the job to Stewart. Pasqualoni is a Parcells guy and will be getting a promotion.

I'm not sure what Rogers' deal is.

Is Rogers more a 4-3 guy, and will Miami stay 4-3 for several years?

Why does it seem like our coaches are fleeing us? Especially to go to Miami where they supposedly did not like BP and his negative attitude. It seems like some of them will not even be promoted but instead will move to similar positions (I can see if everyone was being promoted).

I just wonder if there is something causing the desire to leave. Maybe Wade isn't as good to work for as we believe or they don't like Jerry, or maybe big Bill is a much better guy than we have heard.

No matter what is happening, it is frustrating to see our team rebuild the coaching staff after just 1 year
I kind of disagree. It's refreshing to see more new coches come in. Those guys want a new challenge. I wish them well and thank them for their efforts, but coaches get replaced all the time. It's no big deal at all.

You guys should have good reason to painic, look what happened when Zimmer went away, we totally folded, I mean how many pro bowlers we got this year. We'll be fine, in fact we might be better, I mean could we win less playoff games next year, wait we haven't won any since---take note of this BARRY SWITZER left--you remember him he was the guy who couldn't coach. Folks his star only shines brighter everyday as does Troy Aikmans, all they ever did was win, sorry I'm still bitter from the last no show in the playoffs it will take me a awhile, thanks for letting me vent..

The truth is, the reason they are all leaving is because none of them like cupcakes.

C'mon, man, we need some kind of melodrama to get the offseason off to a rousing start...

So I'll resist pointing out that we done pretty good with our first addition to the coaching staff this offseason, thus creating a sense of some possibility that the Boys might be able to bring in some coaches who are actually good...

But I'll resist pointing that out... wouldn't want to deny the Chicken Littles their time in the sun... :D

Yeah, the Commanders soap opera coaching carousel isn't enough.

Hudson Houck is proof Jerry is back in charge.

(a) Wade needs to build his own staff. I'm sure our efforts to retain them were halfhearted at best.

(b) Bill Parcells is clearly a great man to work for, and not at all the stifling dictator character that many have invented in their minds.

(c) They probably feel more comfortable with their former colleague Sparano than with Wade. More history.

(d) 3 of the 4 coaches we have lost and both scouting guys are getting promotions.

a) as they should be. last year jones was crucified by people for not letting wade pick his own staff, now their hands are wringing because they're leaving.

b) i'm sure he can be. but he's still a stifling dictator that some people just work better under. people i know working the sidelines at the games tell me some of the things he says to the other coaches. he's very blunt and people take it personal. parcells *is* an extreme personality and that has limited appeal - but no one ever said that i know of NO ONE ever wanted to work for/with him.

c) agreed. opportunity comes in many forms to us all. just because someone is a coach of the cowboys doesn't mean they're a fan as well. this is a job to these people, not a fantasy.

Please repeat that. Most guys would leave for a promotion in the NFL. What Garrett did is rare.

Didn't think it was worth its own thread, but it's funny -- I had Cowherd's show on for about 30 seconds on the way to work and happened to catch JJT on the "Spanning the Globe" (or whatever it's called) segment. Of course Cowherd was laughing at Parcells taking all our super-important coaches, and asking JJT if people were freaking out. JJT said oh yes, this was certainly a concern, because if you talk to people, they'll tell you that these coaches did a lot of the heavy lifting and were responsible for the success we had.

So two weeks ago, we're choking losers that need major changes, maybe even at head coach after only one year. But now when it makes a good juicy story for the legendary Parcells to be raiding his former team and leaving Jerrah emptyhanded, we're screwed because we're losing a few assistant coaches.

Hilarous.

Cowherd would have sex with Parcells. All Parcells would have to do is show his baboon ***, and Cowherd would jump him like a broke meth addict.

srsly.

Also, he appears to delight in magnifying any Cowboys misfortune. I listened to the show the other day, and he was all about Miami, and how Jerry wasn't retaining his good employees, and I nearly threw up. So I changed to some gangsta rap and then classical music. Pretty productive morning, for me.

:laugh2: Exactly.

I was more disappointed in JJT for going along with it and acting like we would really suffer now and would have to scramble to get out of this big bind we're now in.

But then, being disappointed in JJT is nothing new.

Incredible. The only analogy I have is about the Mother of my best friend growing up. She was on the phone one time with my Mom complaining about her middle son's dog. She hated that dog. Next day the Manager of the Apartment where they were living gave them notice to get rid of the dog. She was on the phone to my Mom, "he can't make us get rid of our dog."

The old poem says it best.

As a rule, man's a fool.
When it's hot, he wants it cool.
When it's cool, he wants it hot.
Never wanting what he's got.
Always wanting what there's not.

Well they will be working for Sparano not BP. Pasqualoni is being promoted to DC and Bowles to Asst HC so those are promotions. I think those guys worked with Sparano for a long time and Im sure they had a bond with him.

I don't take it as a slight to Wade, Im sure those guys probably feel comfortable with Tony, plus its a rebuilding year for the Dolphins so they could be part of a great team in a few years.

Plus Im sure that Jerry no giving them a contract extension until the last possible minute didn't make them feel too welcome.

Plus, Ireland is the GM.
