When a coach truly makes a difference " He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n." I am waiting to see this in Garrett.

Our defense has no excuses. Offense, a few holes...
Are you saying our coaching staff needs to out scheme an opponent? If I were a betting man and inclined to bet on that, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I'd prob keep my money in my pocket.
Fatigue stemming from a 3-and-out extravaganza from your offense seems like a pretty solid excuse..

We keep hearing the Garrett offense is predicated on "winning Indiv. matchups".........Coaches have to start realizing that a stronger percent of rub plays, stacks, motion, lead draw etc etc...............then create that 1/2 step of hesitation in the opposing defense, that then helps the Indiv. player win his matchup one on one in the biggest percent of plays........
It's the libertarian approach to coaching.
There's just cause to criticize them lately, that's for sure but it's also extremely difficult to put forth bold efforts with an offense that's as crippled as ours has been lately. Hopefully, with Cassel and a healthy, rested OL in place, they'll be somewhat more inclined to get bolder and at least a tad more creative. We'll see, no doubt.
While Garrett has had many legitimate reasons/excuses for some game day ineptness over the years there has also been a track record over those same years where the excuses do not apply. I honestly cannot remember one game during his tenure as HC where we clearly won a game because we out coached/out schemed an opponent.
Maybe in college.
That's some great sounding BS.
You are both right. Coaching means absolutely nothing. Jerry himself once said he could find any of 500 coaches to win a Superbowl. Heck a peewee league coach could coach the team.
This is the game to show up.
The supporters of this coaching staff will see if they can devise a plan to win a game this week.
The critics may get confirmation.

This is Garrett's 5th year as HC after 3 years as OC. That's almost 8 full years he's been with the team. If you don't know what time it is after 8 years, then tomorrow won't make a bit of difference. Garrett has been confirming what I already knew for years.
Hard to out scheme when one of the best QB'S and one of the best WR'S in the NFL are out for an extended amount of time. Not to mention, the O-Line has been sub par. No Scandrick, no Dunbar. That all adds up.
I know I'm talking to a brick wall, but I also know that I'm right and that you are wrong.

I'm looking forward to the game plan with Cassell as the QB.
Want to see if they will run to Collins side.
Want to see if Cassell's size will help him see the field better and find some open spots down the field.
Want to see if the defense will be used as the catalyst to help us win this game.
Good coaches adjusts to the makeup of their roster. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Cassell is the wild card. He can make the biggest difference. Garrett's philosophy is to execute, get first downs and move the ball down the field. Cassell should be able to handle that.
I've concluded that you're a smart person Walker. We both know that you can't take the extraordinary and make it ordinary as if it's the norm. Can't use a tsunami as an example of an evening ride. The Cowboys won a Super Bowl with Barry Switzer as the HC. That included episodes where Switzer went to the bathroom during a game and once ate a hotdog on the sideline.
