There was some talk about Fisher a few weeks ago, but he's resigned, so we know he won't be our next coach. Does it really have to be a coach who will be dedicated to the 3-4 or the current offense?
Am I the only one who thinks we still have pretty good personel to run the
3-4 or the 4-3, the latter with Ware, Hatcher, Spears, Canty, Ratliff and Ferguson in the line rotation and James, Ayodele, Carpenter, Burnett, etc. at LB?
Does anyone think it's beyond possibility that JJ would bring in Norv Turner as head coach? He's doing great things this year with Smith and that SF offense which was putrid last year...Norv knows how to develop a young QB, and he might be just the ticket for a smart guy like Romo.
Then he could keep Zimmer for the 4-3 or bring in someone else for the 3-4.
I've always liked Norv...he did a nice job in WAshington with little talent and got a raw deal...then he fell into the abyss in Oakland, but the man is really doing some nice things in SF.
