You haven't factores in how bad McCarthy is at clock management. To beat a quality playoff team Dallas will need a 2 score lead late.

I'm sure there are plenty of us who remember that Mike Zimmer was unpopular in his first hitch with Dallas as a Defensive Asst/Coordinator, before moving on to Atlanta and Cincy after 2007. (fan haters, even dubbed themselves GROZ, :"get rid of Zimmer").
I'm not in the least surprised that Jerruh brought him back. and I will not be surprised to see him leave unceremoniously.

It's culture. This team under Jerry has continuously had these types of issues. When things get tough players lack effort. Zero mental fortitude. They can keep changing coaches but that won't make the change that needs to happen. Not until they get a real GM who can make tough football decisions.

Yea ....... this guy trying to act like he wants whats good for the Cowboys now is disingenuous as hell.

He needs to go curl back up at Jerry and Daks feet with AC and baldy

Boy, we have lots of chicken littles on this board. The Cowboys need better play and coaching all around. Most importantly this is not last year’s Ravens although the game will be tough to win if we don’t come to play. I doubt that the effort won’t be there or the game plan won’t be good.

Coaches ain't changing this season, and they're old, so no potential correction there.

And the players do care, they're trying really hard, they just ain't good enough.

So this team will likely hover around .500 all season, and if they're able to squeeeeeze into the playoffs somehow, no way they're making a deep playoff run with this team and coaching staff. This ain't it. We can pray for some magical season with this bunch, but reality is.....it's a Dead Coach Walking. And everyone knows it.

This is basically a season wasted...and Jerry will soon realize that.

I disagree. Many of the players do not play hard, especially on defense. They’re adverse to attacking and being physical. But I think Zimmer’s going to coach that weakness out of them. He’s not going to put up with it. Either they’ll get on board and ball out or they’ll start throwing shade. Who knows. We’ll see.
