Boy, we have lots of chicken littles on this board. The Cowboys need better play and coaching all around. Most importantly this is not last year’s Ravens although the game will be tough to win if we don’t come to play. I doubt that the effort won’t be there or the game plan won’t be good.
You mean better players. Yes.

Only chance Dak has to improve is for there to be an elite offensive mind to propel him. He isn’t good enough to do it alone. And MM isn’t good enough either
With Dak as QB, this team needs

A hard *** HC for team discipline
A great offensive OC
A top 5 run game

Then we might have a chance

Don’t get me wrong, Jerry is ultimately responsible with his lush “The Star” practice facility. The 68 degree weather in training camp and his coddling of players he likes. But having said all that, both MM and MZ laid an egg against the Saints. They knew before coming HC and DC how Jerry runs things. Especially MZ. If they aren’t capable of dealing with that, then they should’ve never accepted the job. This team was not mentally ready to play on either defense or offense. Now I don’t know if MM is butt hurt about not having an extension, but come on man, get the team ready! MM and MZ really hosed this game up.

Both MM and MZ both got totally out coached. Micah was totally coach out of the game. The offense again, had no running game. How many penalties stopped offensive drives and defensive stands? They had the team totally unprepared for both offensive and defensive schemes they are both familiar with and they came out with that?

There’s some problems with personnel as well. If you’re not going to come out balls to the walls like Overshown, and 2 or 3 others then you don’t need to be in the NFL. You’re paid tons of money to give it 100% 100% of the time.

I want to see an Charles Haley type episode or I’m really worried about the season.
After the do nothing off season I was worried.
Especially after that Greenbay beat down.

..Or this was really a trap game. They didnt think NOLA was that good.
They bought their hype along with all the fans after week one. Only thing I’m worried about is the talent at running back and defensive tackle. I feel like everything else can be fixed. And coaching I would just be concerned about everyone on a lame duck contract. It will be easier to lose the team right now, but that’s on Jerry and his contract philosophies.

Is it true Overshown didn’t get a snap until we were down like 20?

That just can’t be true.

How many times did we see them try and run Deuce up the middle? He’s 5’6” 176lbs? Just wasted series.
How many games (and losses) do we have to see before they try a single screen pass to Deuce ? Let's run the 176 lb guy between the tackles but don't ever try to get him in open space. He should have at least 4-5 screens a game.

That’s just what they’d be expecting! (Because it’s smart)

We will fool them with a play no other coach would attempt. Like 3 times.

Funny thing is....Deuce is so freaking slippery..... there's really no plan to stop him in open space. It's gotta be great individual effort to get him stopped.

Look man I'm not reading all that just 'cause I'm upset at all these posts and I've already posted too much this morning let me tell you something everything needs to improve the players needed just as much blame just like Parson said after the game just saying I'm Mike Zimmer even though it is there were 24 players on defense that no one stood up and did their job correctly or we wouldn't have given up seven straight touchdowns it starts with the players they didn't execute the Saints players executed perfect game plan perfect play calls and execution I mean sometimes in a game, that Saints receiver could have dropped the ball I mean they could have not broke tackles and they could have ended up punting more but they didn't they executed the players have to execute yes a lot of blame is on the coaching but there are some really good players on our team that aren't stepping up in big games they get punched in them out and they don't respond that's a problem with the players more than the coaches but yes the coaches are equally to blame for Sunday's mess... If your defense doesn't play better it doesn't matter what we do on the rest of our team talking about offense in the run game and the line and receivers getting open in a matter you have to score in every drive that's asking for perfection from your other parts of your team with the defense has been clearly to blame for many of our going back 10 years..

Enter Mike Vrabel
yeah that's what everyone thinks and as much as he'd be a good addition to this team somehow next year we don't know that he's going to improve when players do not step up and do their jobs it doesn't matter who the coach is I mean wouldn't it be nice to have Belichick as the head coach and Vrabel as defensive coordinator?

We can dream but blaming the coaching staff for that mess on defense yes some of it is on them but equally there were 24 defensive players that didn't do their jobs and they should be to blame and I don't care what Mike Vrabel is or what Bill Belichick is if you don't do your job and execute tackle E6 not being out of position not missing tackles not giving up and you have a double team on that bomb I mean you gave up a a big play for a touchdown early in the game when you literally were the right play call was there they were doubled but the Saints just threw it better blocked it better and caught it better our safeties had a double team and they couldn't even stop it I mean the ball was right there you could swipe it away hell I'm all for it if you're gonna get penalized for something tackle the dude I mean make sure they didn't get an easy touchdown that's on the players..

And as good as Bill Belichick and Mike Vebel are their last few years they haven't overcome anything once their players didn't live up and execute properly ....m and that's why they lost their jobs.. I mean doesn't the Ravens have a better coaching staff than us apparently better built maybe even better players and yet they're 0-2.

Look around the league , some great coaches losing games, if this was about coaching, why is there so many teams that are either winless or they're one in one like us?

Allow the principals of leadership to work through good management executors.

The responsible point for failure already is working on the problem with both horns held onto already...(grabbing the bull by the horns.)

That has been done here and now by the team.
