Fans never really hate players...well, the vast majority of players are never really hated by their fan base. Fans hate losing. They dislike it when their guy(s) do not get the job done and win. Fans are human and often too critical of players and even overreact. But often once a player retires the fans attitude slowly changes. People seem to understand that is more to a person than his football ability. They even grow to like the guys with a little time. It is in the process of happening now with Romo. It will probably happen with Dak after he retires....

I never understood it either. Similar to why I don’t get the hate with Dak.

I do understand the frustration with fans re: the lack of postseason runs.

I do think it’s pretty funny that early on, Dak fanatics for a long time hung their hats on Romo’s poor playoff “W/L record” mainly because at that point Dak hadn’t been in the league much. Now, Dak has a worse playoff record and they all want to plead the many reasons why it’s unfair to blame a single player.

Romo dislike came when he botched a few games. Especially that FG with Seattle. Unless he won a SB there was no coming back from that one.

Imo, Romo looked and played like he didn't take things seriously enough.
He had a big arse smile on his face after a pick too many times for me.
That, and he choked in the playoffs repeatedly, like our current QB.

Chokers need love too.
Aye....you don't have to love them but you can certainly understand that while yes they are chokers they are a small problem to what the bigger issue is. Let's remember 28 years predates both Dak and Romo. That goes back to Aikman.....

I won't speak to Cowherds message but I've heard this guy say some really dumb ish.

He's actually proud to be called an elitist and his takes are at times sanctimonious pandering.

End of rant
