When was the last time national media as a collective thought we had a good qb?
I don't think he is a "loser". I think he is a genuinely nice guy. But he is flawed...like all of us.I don’t even know how Dak has a reputation that benefits him.
He’s a loser QB.
MVP voting changed in 2022, when prior 50 sportswriters had to cast only 1 vote on who was MVP. Now they choose a total of 5 players to tally votes for. They do this probably just so Vegas can have more things to gamble on.
Dak got ZERO first place votes, 49 went to Lamar and 1 went to Josh Allen. Jackson was only 1 vote shy of UNANIMOUS MVP.
Dak wasn’t a “runner up”, nor was anybody else. It wasn’t even close. There is nothing more statistically meaningless than this runner up “title”, other than the majority of Dak’s garbage yardage.

Who cares? Nobody considered Dak the MVP. Lamar was almost the unanimous MVP and it wasn't even close. So he got the most 2nd place votes, tied with CMC? That's some bad reputational stuff right there.
Dak got a participation trophy though, so there's that.Who cares? Nobody considered Dak the MVP. Lamar was almost the unanimous MVP and it wasn't even close.
That's not the point though. Cowherd claimed Dak is living on reputation. That fact is, whether Cowboys fans want to admit it or not, Dak's reputations was very good around the league when the season started. He is having an awful season, or was before that much is undeniable. But Cowherd's comment is just nonsense.Who cares? Nobody considered Dak the MVP. He is living off reputation. Like this alleged runner up” title. There was no runner up, as he didn’t even get a single first place vote. Dak was a laughing stock last year up until the bye, especially when he got destroyed by the 49ers, then he ended the season with 5 picks in 5 games, getting annihilate by the Packers. The guy has 9 years of game tape and he’s still having guys flat out saying in live TV, from the booth, he is terrible. That's not the point though. Cowherd claimed Dak is living on reputation. The Dak Prescott ExperienceI don’t even know how Dak has a reputation that benefits him.

I'm actually not sure that's true. That's not the point though. Cowherd claimed Dak is living on reputation. Jon Kitna? When was the last time national media as a collective thought we had a good qb?
Can't argue with Cowboys fans about Dak. No matter what Dak haters think, you simply will not accept or allow that others do not think the same way. The fact is, and show me some proof otherwise, outside of this forum of intransigent Dak haters, he is well thought of around the NFL or was before this season. No one thinks of him as a top 3 or 5 QB, but that does not mean that most everybody else does not think think he is a good QB. We are talking about a reputation, deserved or not. Certain members of the media have criticized Dak throughout his career, but they are a minority. He is living off reputation. Like this alleged runner up” title. MVP is voted by “sportswriters” not actual players. Dak is so respected around the league, Lamb’s mom and Parsons brother essentially trashed him. That says more about what players actually think, when teammates own relatives are coming out and bashing him openly.
And if you talk about players defending “contract money”, as I’ve said before every player wants the market to go up. Even Dak alluded to this when he said he’s playing for his “brothers” around the league, about him not taking a pay cut.
You will never see it. How many Dak jerseys do you own? Can't argue with Cowboys fans about Dak. I am not hear to argue Dak's merits as a QB, but I will argue that his reputation around the league coming into this season was very good. I know this bothers the heck out of Dak haters but facts are facts.
In 2023 Dak was second in QB all-pro voting. was selected to the pro-bowl and was Next Gen Stats, All-Pro QB. You want to think Dak sucks? Fine, you are entitled to your opinion. But Dak's 2023 awards indicated that many others disagree. Hence, my argument that his reputations was just fine last coming into 2024.
Facts: Dak Prescott and Todd France have the best PR Dept. in the NFL and they have the $ and influence to support it to the hill. Can't argue with Cowboys fans about Dak. Purdy has been to how many championship games? A Super Bowl…Fangio’s quip about not prepping any differently for Rush versus Dak just reinforces that Dak isn’t anything special. He’s not a gamechanger. He’s not a straw that stirs the drink. He’s not an elevator for those around him on the field. He’s completely dependent on the talent surrounding him in a way that truly elite QBs are not. Iow, he’s a decent QB that can make NFL throws. This league has been grossly overpaying these types of QBs since Joe Flacco won a SB. This problem is league-wide and not just a Dak/Jerry issue. Granted I expect Jerry, or any GM for that matter, to put a stop to this insanity and as of now, by and large, the league hasn’t had an owner/GM tell a Dak-like QB to go pound sand when such a QB wants to reset the FA market. They end up paying. I’m hoping the Niners are the first team to do this if Purdy thinks he’s worthy of resetting the FA QB market.
You know this is going to drive the Dak lovers insane… well said and all trueFacts: Dak Prescott and Todd France have the best PR Dept. in the NFL and they have the $ and influence to support it to the hill.
Folks trust your eyes and intelligence, not the sold-out media which sells lies and the facade of a QB that simply does not exist!
Now back to reality.................dink and dunk........dink and dunk......interception.........sack.......another sack..........FG....opps another FG...........The Boys are down by 20 4th Q Dak is on fire now baby(prevent def time)....... result is Cowboys lose again.
Is he worth $60-65 million per year? He’s a more successful QB than Dak Prescott and Dak is a $60 million/year QB supposedly. That’s the new standard. Would you pay Purdy that amount, or more given the yearly rise in QB salaries, of money?Purdy has been to how many championship games? A Super Bowl…
In how many seasons???
Does he wilt like Dak when the playoffs come around?
