He is not capable from a fundamentals and mental processing standpoint to lead this team in the manner befitting of his salary status. Who's fault is this???

IMO, Jerry and his agent have done him a disservice, and we may be witnessing not only the decline of his career, but also the negative impression and branding of him as a professional athlete.

This guy needs a team around him to overcome the things he is not able to do himself. Jerry's belief that Dak has to rise up to the occasion is just probably at odds with what Dak is capable of.

This team is loaded with fanciful and delusional thoughts and it would be good to lower expectations and reconfigure the team.

Fangio’s quip about not prepping any differently for Rush versus Dak just reinforces that Dak isn’t anything special. He’s not a gamechanger. He’s not a straw that stirs the drink. He’s not an elevator for those around him on the field. He’s completely dependent on the talent surrounding him in a way that truly elite QBs are not. Iow, he’s a decent QB that can make NFL throws. This league has been grossly overpaying these types of QBs since Joe Flacco won a SB. This problem is league-wide and not just a Dak/Jerry issue. Granted I expect Jerry, or any GM for that matter, to put a stop to this insanity and as of now, by and large, the league hasn’t had an owner/GM tell a Dak-like QB to go pound sand when such a QB wants to reset the FA market. They end up paying. I’m hoping the Niners are the first team to do this if Purdy thinks he’s worthy of resetting the FA QB market.
