Please stop parroting this. He got one singular vote. It's not like he was actually in contention.

Yeah, let’s compare the Texas heat to Detroit. Lol.You dare to compare Goff to Dak?
Have you seen Goff play?
There is 0 comparison in the arm and mental category talent including pocket awr.
Heck Goff doesn't even break a sweat............OMG have you see our guy?
Lets compare............
Goff
Dak
Dak in the playoffs
Dak has had 8 years. Is that time not sufficient?Kind of sounds like he is talking about Arron Rodgers. Dak was second in MVP voting just last season which means his reputation in not obsolete. He definitely got off to a bad start this season and is now injured but 8 games isn't living. I'd give him a little more time before I lay this on him.
And that’s why Jared Goff is not with the team that drafted him. He’s so blessed to have a great coach like Campbell.Watch Goff and Prescott when they both have time to throw. Goff is FAR more precise with his ball placement. Dak's completions are often horrible throws. There's no comparison between these 2, and it's obvious why Goff went #1 overall while Dak fell into the 4th round. Dak had mobility when younger, but now he has nothing.

Just so you both know, there's a rank-choice type style of voting on NFL MVP. Dak did NOT receive the other first place vote besides Jackson. Josh Allen did. Dak got enough 2nd and 3rd place votes, etc. to place 2nd in the standings. The bottom line is the only two players in the NFL to get any MVP votes at all last year were Lamar and Dak. Yes, Jackson blew Dak out of the water, but no other player was even in the conversation.

“Shackled” by Shanahan ?? That’s an absurd statement and you are likely envious because Dak sucks.Good stuff.
I like Purdy, but he's being shackled and hurt by being in that horrid QB destroying Kyle Shanahan O. Long developing routes getting him killed. Same thing happening in Houston w/ Stroud. Houston's OC, Slowiak, is a KShanahan disciple, and he's getting Stroud killed w/ that HS Offense. Stroud got sacked like 8 times in his last game vs Jets.
If you look at Dak’s wins vs winning teams (including playoffs) AND remove his “garbage” stats, that tells the real story — he is at best a B- QB who can NOT carry a team.Wasn't Cowherd singing Prescott's praises for the last 3 quarters of the 2023 season as he played at a MVP level and finished 2nd in MVP voting? Is he sure he isn't referring to Aaron Rodgers living off an obsolete reputation? That would make more sense to me.
Prescott has been pretty bad this season and has seemed off even in the Cleveland win. But, he is not even a full year removed from playing the best ball.of his career in 2023. So not sure how obsolete his reputation is around the League.
I'm not the biggest Prescott guy in the fandom and I definitely know he has limitations as a QB. If Cowherd is referring to him as a player with warts that have existed throughout his career, then, OK. If he is saying Prescott looks like crap in 2024, OK. But, his reputation can't be obsolete if he played at his best ever just last season.
Very true. Dak has not got it done it 8 years. That is his reputation, no? So then what is he living off now--a reputation of not getting it done?Dak has had 8 years. Is that time not sufficient?
Take his 2 career playoff wins and watch them to further convince you Dak is just having a rough stretch this season.
Like Dak? I neither like nor dislike him.I understand you don't like Dak. As of the end of last year some people around the NFL thought Dak was pretty good. I don't hear too many of them saying that this year so I'm not sure what living he is making off his reputation. If you want to make a distinction between sportswriters and the real NFL that's fine. Cowherd would be barely in the sportswriter group and I would put him below as he gets his information from sportswriters and spits out seemingly unfounded opinions. He is certainly not part of the real NFL.
Have no idea what you're trying to say.being American, you do not understand rethorical comments
Fair enough. I neither like Dak nor dislike him as well. I don’t think he is worth that contract, though.Like Dak? I neither like nor dislike him.
Before the season, he was rated 11th, from what I saw. Prolly about where he fits.
Fair enough!!!!Fair enough. I neither like Dak nor dislike him as well. I don’t think he is worth that contract, though.
In my opinion, he is a mid-tier QB as your ranking suggests also suggests. My point really was he doesn’t have much of a reputation to live off but if Cowherd is going to make that claim then he needs to give him a little time to rebound.
Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson are better examples of QBs living off their reputations.
I’ve been saying it for years. This guy was declared elite somewhere along the line, while accomplishing absolutely nothing. The offense didn’t even run through him for years and they are having to dumb down the offense for him in year 8 and 9zI don’t even know how Dak has a reputation that benefits him.
He’s a loser QB.
