I don’t give two squirts on Colin’s player valuation… but his premise is incorrect. NFL players are not awarded contracts based on what they “earn” or “deserve”… they get contracts based on what they are projected to do over the life of the new contract going forward, relative to other options available at the time. Even then, criticizing a contract in the middle of its duration is not an exact science because teams can pull several levers to manipulate the impact and/or timing. Regardless of your personal opinion of Dak, this is manufactured TV drama… nothing more.

Anyone who I state is better than Dak is saying very little as his talent bar is on the low end.
What has he done with the exception of beating up and ballooning his stats against weaker teams like the Bears last Sunday?
Come back to PAPPY and sell Dak when he does the same vs the Vikes and any other team with a winning record.

Your talent to disguise as a Cowboys fan is on the low end.... everybody knows you're a fraud.

You should be over on your own fan board wondering why the Eagles struggled against the 1-5 Texans.

I like Colin's show. I disagree with him half the time, but he has excellent guests.

Sean Payton is on every week in football season, as is Mark Sanchez. If you want to hear guys, who know what's going on, break down the game then it's good stuff.

If you're just looking for someone to tell you everything the Cowboys are and do is great, then listen to Mickey Spagnola.

Colin has since admitted he was wrong about Wentz. It's okay to be wrong, but some folks have a hard time admitting it. I see it here every day.
untrue everyone here 100% right 100% of the time;) well except for Risen:D:p

Josh Allen's career stats:

3-3 Playoff Record
62.7% Completion
65.67% Win Percentage
7.2 Yards Per Attempt
92.7 Passer Rating

He's worse than both in Yards Per Attempt, Passer Rating, Completion Percentage, and worse than Jimmy in all categories. I guess he's worse than both according to Colin's own metric.
That's why I say stats don't tell the whole story. You just watch Allen in that playoff game against KC last year and someone had to lose. He was fantastic. I just can't say that about too many QBs. Like Justin Herbert. His stats aren't the greatest and he hasn't won anything but you can see the physical talent for the potential to be a superstar if he gets his mental game right.

Colin is a wee man that THINKS he is knowledgeable about the NFL. He is a *******. Dak is fine. Colin is drumming ^ business for Fox. Clickbait artist. He needs 2 remain in his cubicle pushing pencils.

hes an entertainer. Not a football guy. As long as folks understand what he is, I get it...just try not to take him too seriously. He and Skip Bayless are the same. Understand what they are.

It is complete "frakanicky" that Dak's $$ is the problem. And Zeke's too. Some apparently want the "Dollar General Cowboys" out there competing. For all to want to blame Dak or Zeke weekly, is funny......TRomo, once the highest paid QB, was always granted the excuse "there's not enough help or coaching was the reason for the bonehead underachievements", which are not the sole reasons for the mantra....."Wait for something bad to happen with this franchsie. They will not let you down."

Colin lost me on that "frakanicky". Each year we're failing in the Free Agent market, gave away Amari for a candy bar, just drafted guys that can't make the field yet, and bungled on the trade deadline. But it's Dak or Zeke's fault. ????

My prediction......watch the love reduced when Micah comes off the rookie contract. Unbelievable, but it ain't. I think the Board Capologist should knock on JJ's door and explain how we should become the "Dollar General Cowboys". JJ might love the marketing with that and he'll enjoy the camera time.
You seem to have selective memory if you don't remember the beating Romo took on this board and also by most media outlets. People were relentless in their criticisms of Tony, just like they are with Dak now. The whole "choker" tag was a false narrative as at one point he was the all-time leader in the 4th quarter passing ratings.

At one point Tony and Dak were neck to neck in getting blasted on here, but now in my opinion the Dak blasting is much worse. Some on here cannot even admit when he has a great game. I've always been a fence sitter on Dak, and I"m still not sure what he is capable of. But I do think if he plays within himself we have a chance to win a Super Bowl with him.

As far as the money goes, it's odd to me how much it bothers people. I think the players should try to make as much as possible, just like us regular folks in the real world. You don't get too many Tyron's or Lee's who take team-friendly deals and I don't blame the players. They can only play a finite time before they're done. And good teams know how to manipulate the cap.

By the way, I didn't watch the video. I cannot watch any of the talking heads looking for ratings.

Starting wages is staring wages. Plain and simple. The front office chose to pay Dak instead of going another direction.

They should have loaded up when Dak was making 690,000 a year. Our lack of success during that time says a lot about the front office's inability to build a championship caliber team. And it was really all Garrett's fault, Rod Marinelli was the guy that couldn't get it together, defensively.

So did Dak earn his second contract? The guy was rock solid for four years. Did Dak deserve to be paid like one of the best in the league? I'll answer that question with a question... Can he get his team into the playoffs year after year?

Good read Fastpitch Dad....... but I don't have selective memory. While some of us have ripped TRomo.....it is masked by the overwhelming love he gets on this Board too, even today such as the HOF expectations or favorable prediction that I personally don't think exists or the excuse he was playing with poor teams. Dak doesn't come close to any love, in comparison. Fact. Not sure why the "choker" tag was a false narrative......TRomo did make some bonehead plays at the wrong times, in "big" games. His career is just like BFavre, excluding the longevity and the one Super Bowl. Riverboat Gambler.

It's all good. I'm just always wondering why the "go to" blame move on this board is at the player that makes money......deserved at the time, due to market value, at minimum. And yet some get immunity becasue the pay is team friendly and yields the very results that warrant such. That's on the franchise.

I also marvel at the enabled selfishness the franchise afforded JWitt returning after retirement, in a role he should have been granted like the Raiders did a year later......spot duty or just say no. That's on the franchise.

My 2 cents. I critique play, not pay.....in the Man Cave. Dak and Zeke (since the topic is deserved or earned) have the same number of rings.....right now as the above mentioned players....outside of wedding bands. Let's go Cowboys. That's on me.

Fair enough opinion Cmac, I can respect that.

I freely admit that along with Larry Allen and Woody, Romo is right there as my all-time favorite Cowboys. Not really sure why, maybe his back story or being the underdog, doesn't really matter. I do remember the vitriol thrown his way was pretty bad but some of that could have been because of how much I liked him. He's the last athlete I'll ever get emotionally invested in, it's silly when you sit back and think about it.

No matter, I am a Cowboy fan and will always root for who we trot out on the field. I do love the way this team is trending.

Me too Faspitch Dad.....let's hope for a good stretch trending upwards as we hit the December timeframe. All good.
