College Football 2021 Season

A former TCU player gives his thoughts on the Gary Patterson firing:

Why in the world with 17 seconds left do you kick it deep? In that situation you pooch it to prevent a possible exactly what happened.

Two thoughts: 1. The kicker screwed up. SMU had a left kick coverage on, but he kicked it right down the middle. Oops. 2. SMU was in a tough situation. Tune had been torching their secondary all night. A squib or pooch kick would likely have set us up at our 30-40 with 20+ seconds and a timeout, needing only a fg to win.

The smart play was to pooch it. Kicking it long against a team that had a good return record was DUMB.

How 'Bout Them Horn Frogs ! ! !

Texas truly is lower than a snakes belly right now.

KANSAS beat them.

AT HOME.

Not sure how much worse it could possibly get.

Love how quiet all the Longhorn fans are right now.

Odds Sark is one and done at UT?

when Kansas beats you, at your home, and hangs nearly 60 points on you….
But you think you’ll do better in the SEC…..
Vanderbilt is excited knowing they wont be the worst team in the league year in and year out…

I know Mack Brown had hit a wall at Texas and needed a break.
But I told my friends (that were UT fans) when they ran him out of town---after something like 7 top 5 finishes, 12 straight top 20 finishes, a Nat'l Title and a runner-up--that it would be decades before they could replace that production....if ever.

Well it's already been 8 years

Horns fans can be really entitled.

I went so far as to say Brown's new (but old) home at UNC might eventually go the college playoff before Texas does....which would really be a blow.

I have mixed emotions, as my daughter will be going to UT next year.

yep that ain't good for recruiting. For one the recruits got to shake their heads at it all; and wonder if the coaches that are recruiting them are going to be around in a year. The high grade recruits of today look just as closely at position coaches; and sometimes closer, then head coaches.

LOL. Michigan finally beats a ranked team & Ohio State gives Michigan it's first ranked win. Proof neither is what their record says they are.

after all the crap said about Harbaugh and them saying Michigan had no chance today..,

good for Jim...

He has blown so many big games at Michigan over his time there; OSU has owned him.

So he breaks through today.

Question is this:
Trend setting or aberration?

Michigan was just more physical. They rushed for nearly 300 yards and played solid defence. Ohio State was so whipped by the 4th quarter Michigan could do as they please in the 4th.
