I'm real disappointed in their season so far even with just the one loss. Their game Saturday was crap. I'm spoiled. I admit it.

the problem with winning big all the time is expectations.
i remember watching the Mavs win 60 regular season games and not even caring because the playoffs were just assumed so all that mattered.
but a couple tough seasons will wake you up:)

Yep. I always expect them to be great. Good will not do.

It's hard to keep the ego in check when you're young like these guys & on TV every week & told how great you are. This Bama team is sloppy though. I'm not use to seeing that.

The Aggies have taken a step back, as well. The SEC is wide open, and that makes for some great match ups.
Really fun to watch every week.

I have watched the Aggies a few times & they didn't look so good. Their QB is careless with the ball.

Yeah, they were ready to anoint Kenny Hill as the second coming of Johnny Football (you know, the one one that rolled the Tide) after that that first game. But now that the competition is tougher, his inexperience is showing -- getting confused by coverages, and missing reads. He'll be a lot better next year.

Could say the same for Blake Sims, Boykin at TCU, and Swoopes at UT. They just need more games. LSU has a void there, also.

this is the cycle fo football and why teams like ole miss and miss st are rising. QB experience is a huge factor.
Baylor is in the same boat with Petty who seemingly graduated high school in 2000.
experienced QBs who can execute are huge.

winston and manziel were physical freaks but they also had a ton of upper class NFL talent around them.

Correct.

Just look at the top performing teams every year, and you find the top performing QB's most of the time.

And the QB's have so much to learn about O&D that it usually takes 2-3 years.

The Aggies have the third toughest schedule in the NCAA. Their two losses are to the #1 and #3 teams in the nation. And it's not going to get any better with Alabama, Auburn, Missouri, and LSU to go.

I think Hill will be ok in the long run. His inexperience has certainly shown, though. And if he doesn't develop any further, they have options - Kyle Allen was the #1 QB in the country coming out of HS, and Kyler Murray is also coming.

A&M's defense still needs further infusion of talent though. The upper classmen really aren't that good across the board. The D-Line has improved, but they still need some players at the LB and secondary level.

I think Hill got the big head. He started reading all the press and worrying about trademarking his nickname rather than focusing on the football.

Myles Garrett, the freshman pass rusher looks like he could end up as a very good defender in the future. Reminds me of Aldon Smith.

I think they beat my Tide.

This past Saturday changed a lot of things in college football.

For one, looks like FSU has a good chance of running the table after beating ND. I still think ND has a shot (though a small one) of making the playoffs if they run the table and FSU runs the table. A 31-27 loss to the undefeated defending champs shouldn't knock them out of the playoffs.

I really don't see any Big 12 team making the playoffs. I think TCU is the best team in the Big 12, but they won't make it since they lost to Baylor. I think Baylor has no shot of making it after losing to West Virginia. And Oklahoma was the only team that had a shot of making it, but they just got their second loss of the season. I'd be shocked if a Big 12 team makes the playoffs.

That leads me to this. I think a Big Ten team might make the playoffs. At the moment, it's looking like Mich St if they run the table. But I think Ohio St can steal a playoff spot if they beat Mich St in the head to head in a few weeks.

In the SEC, I think Alabama just make a case for themselves after beating TAMU 59-0. They steal play Miss St and Auburn. The last 4 weeks of the season will really decide the SEC and at least one playoff spot. I can see two SEC teams making the playoffs even.

Once again, each week it's looking more and more like the only team who has a shot in the Pac 12 is Oregon. Everyone else looks pretty awful. Stanford is 4-3 and USC has 2 losses. There are the two Arizona teams with only one loss but I don't see either of them making it.

At the moment, my prediction is FSU, Mich St, Oregon and the SEC winner (though I could easily replace Oregon with another SEC team if they lose again).

Or he just is young and wasn't ready for the games on the schedule in the SEC West.
Hill wasn't Manziel no matter how bad people wanted him to be.
