oh no.....Texas only scored 5 points today.....despite playing on the road, without their top 2 RBs, then losing their other top RB on his 3rd carry, their top WR injuried, and having to rely on 2 freshmen QBs to carry the team, while the OL took the day off.

Missouri finally gets rid of that dreaded back monkey......

BTW, this is the first time since the 12-0 loss to OU, during Vince's first or second season, that the Horns didn't score a TD. Also, this is the first time since the Horns lost to A&M in 2006, that they didn't score at least 10 points.

I am not upset about the loss, as much as I am about the injury to Fozzy and the horrible call against Vaccaro, a call that cost the Horns possession and 7 points.

so A&M lost, and in OT?

wow....I saw they were up by 10, then I went back to the TCU/Potato St. game.....then I decided to watch some other shows.

A&M is definitely making this a memorable final year in the Big 12 and not in a good way.....unfortunately, I feel they may decide to actually show up and play an entire game against Texas....I want a Texas win in the worst way this year.

Go Mississippi ST.

Don't want a rematch . I want Luck vs LSU's defense

Weeden vs. LSU's defense. :)

And I know I'm the only one in America, but I still don't see Luck as the NFL megastar everyone else does.

Actually I saw an article by Phil Simms agreeing with me that his arm isn't all that great.

I'll take the kid on my team.

But that is why I want that matchup. Let's see him against a ferocious, fast defense with NFL players in the secondary. Would be the best story

the last 6 quarters, Alabama's offensive has been extremely offensive to my eyes.

Western Kentucky scored more points in one quarter on LSU than Alabama did in an entire game. Just sayin', maybe the SEC isn't as good as it's made out to be.

Alabama missed 3 FGs and had another blocked....if their kicking game wasn't such a mess, they would be #1 in the nation and LSU would be #3. BTW, ask yourself this, do you get up for unranked, who in the hell is Western Kentucky, just as you do for #2 rival Alabama? NO WAY.....LSU played a tough, physical game against their arch rival.

So they gave up an early TD the game after, then they got the wakeup call and decided it was time to play. WKU has done nothing since.

I was being partly sarcastic. I think that both Alabama's and LSU's offenses are definitely below par, particularly their quarterbacks.

would be better if he had an NFL receiver to throw to.

you know, I often find myself watching LSU and wondering how they score so many points offensively, I mean they definitely maximize the points/stats.

what i mean is, their offense is ugly and doesn't seem to do anything, yet they seem to put 40 points game in and game out. They are the quietest high scoring offense in the nation.

Actually I saw an article by Phil Simms agreeing with me that his arm isn't all that great.

“But the one thing I don’t see, I just don’t see big time NFL throws. I don’t care what anybody says. I’ve watched a lot of him. He never takes it and rips it in there. And you can say what you want but, man, you’ve got to be able to crease that ball every once in a while. We see it every week in these games. Hey, he can develop it but even in the USC game, you know, he’s very careful with it, guides it a lot, Rich. That’s what I see. There’s not a lot of rotation on the ball and there’s not a tremendous amount of power. Not that you need to have that power arm. I’m not saying you’ve got to have that exclusively but, man, it sure helps when you can do that because there’s four or five plays a game it is about arm strength. And sometimes quarterbacks who don’t have it, they pass those plays up. Why? Well, they go, ‘I don’t know if I can make that throw,’ so they throw it short. That’s why I’m a little more reserved in my judgment than everybody else.”
Even though Simms recently has seemed to be intent on projecting contrarian opinions (even when those opinions stray into the realm of the goofy), he possibly is onto something here. The truth lies in the “all-22″ film, which will show whether Luck has downfield opportunities when opting to throw short. And the folks who are paid to assess college players will study that film. If Simms is onto something, the tape will bear it out.

phil is so egoistal

because his sons can not play

poor Chrissy an Matty are no good

Phil Simms not sold on Luck? Suddenly, I’m completely sold on him…

The real issue that Phil Simms has with Andrew Luck is the fact that the young man makes his own kids like what they are: pathetic. I live in Knoxville. We would gladly return his son to him ANYTIME! The boy belongs on a highschool field, not a NCAA field. I am not even sure he could compete with some of the highschools around he at that. Anytime you see that jersey running on the field you do one of two things, change the channel or turn off the TV. Obviously none of the Simms family have any DNA for football like the Manning’s. Peyton was the BEST QB that TN EVER had. Andrew Luck may not be the next Peyton Manning. However, the young man can play football. He also has the mobility that Peyton does not

However, Simms is a moron. He was against Rodgers coming out? Has anyone actually watched Rodgers throw a ball? The man has been a monster since he came out of the shadow of Farve and he is MOBILE! Green Bay will be the Super Bowl champs this year again. Simms is JEALOUS! Get over is Simms, you could not play, your offspring cannot play. Deal with it. Maybe they will create a special place for you in the Hall of Fame for most idiotic quotes.

Oregon is garbage until they get that huge gain. Three plays for 58, 59, and 41 yards. In their other 29 plays they have gained a total of 88 yards, or just over 3 yards per play.

Luck's arm probably isn't all that great; however, it is good enough. Probably a stronger arm than Simms.

You don't have to have a great arm to succeed. Our guy Tony Romo doesn't have a great arm. Good not great. Drew Brees has at best average arm strength, but he's on his way to breaking the all time record for passing yards in a season.

Besides the Auburn game, they've scored most of their points in the 4th quarter once the game has essentially been decided.

A lot of you wonder why I don't think teams like Boise and TCU should ever get a shot at the national title until they play a major conference schedule.

That's why. Both have played two real teams this year and are each 1-1 in those games. They arent built to run the table against good competition every week.

The 2010 TCU Rose Bowl champs beg to differ.
