Allen could have been a pro bowler at probably all oline spots and could have been a monster at DT

I'm not sure... does being lazy and out of shape make a hip injury that needs season-ending surgery?
Not saying you're wrong, but it does seem puzzling to me.

I get aches and pains and maybe a strain here and there, but serious surgery?

We were relatively injury-free last year. This is just regression to the mean. Hopefully, we have less injuries next year.

This is my thing. Being out of shape doesn't seem like it should warrant season-ending hip surgery just from a little rehab and practice.
