I noticed he was playing some right guard during practice yesterday when watching Training Camp live.

It could just be to get him some reps but maybe if Free goes down or if they just want to replace him then Zack Martin would go to right tackle.

Or if Zack is forced to fill-in at C, which they have done the past few practices. Looks like they are preparing as though Mack may not be one of the backups on gameday.

A lot of shuffling on the interior. Martin was at center, Bernardeau was at left guard, and Collins was at right guard.

It seems they're working on line flexibility in case of injury.

Just my own speculation, but with Tyron's bicep issue keeping him out for a while, I'm wondering if we'll see Collins get any work at left tackle? My thinking is that Weems might do a better job at right tackle and I would be interested to see what Collins could do out there with the 1's.

I would love to see at least Martin if not Collins get some work at RT. I don't think anyone would bet money Free makes it 16 games and Collins should be the next guy off the bench. Both Collins and Martin were considered potential RT prospects coming out of the draft so one of them should be prepared to fill in when Free goes down....not Weems. Nobody can make an argument Weems is a better RT prospect than Martin or Collins.

Going with only two backup lineman on game day seems very risky to me. Especially given Free's injury history these past few years. I would definitely take Mack, Collins and whomever the swing tackle ends up being

Martin at C is intriguing. Suggests we might go with the loser if the Leary/Collins battle plus a swing tackle on game day.

Still want to see them run Collins at RT with the first unit.

I would not mind seeing him get some work at RT in camp and practice but I hope he never sees real playing time at either tackle position this season.

Just skimming through some Florida games from last year.

Chaz Green really looks like a good prospect. We need to get that guy back.

Green would be the ideal prospect for swing tackle. Too bad he currently can't stay healthy.

Gil Brandt after the draft raved about this kid. Said he was real good. Another wait and see deal.

The guy has a lot of talent. He needs to develop the durability to match.

Any word on his rehab? People talk about a redshirt year but I'd rather see if he can overtake Weems. I hoped Gibson would jump out of the pack but he's not moving up the depth chart at all.

I love McClay's approach to finding guys that can play multiple positions. Even in free agency (Hardy can play DE or DT; Corey White can play CB or S).

Just about every guy on the offensive line is comfortable in at least two spots. That's so reassuring to the offense (especially Romo) to essentially have seven really legitimate linemen that are versatile.

Im not sure but I think he'll be back sometime around the halfway point of the season.

I would think Bernadeau is still the likely gameday reserve for C/G but any prolonged absence Collins could then fill in at G. They also need to prepare for next season when they may not have Bernadeau.

I would like Collins to get some time at both tackle positions.
