Cologne

Yeah Drak and Polo green are old school but they classics.

I always like to wear the same brand after shave and cologne together so the scents do not clash.

I wear it even when home alone, I feel nude without it.

It is ignorant to think only homosexuals wear cologne.

Used to wear obsession.

Then Joop.

Now on the rare occasions that I wear cologne, I wear royal copenhagen.

I'll wear cologne when I feel it's appropriate, normally a couple of times a month.

They way I figure it, if Winston Churchill and Ronald Regan felt okay wearing cologne, then I shouldn't have any qualms either. With that though, I only wear it when I have a reason to dress like them (minus the WC bowtie).

Will any of those make WG go crazy with passion?

i can't stand cologne. Mainly because most people don't know how to wear it. It is supposed to be a personal scent - something your wife/girlfriend gets a faint whiff of when intimately close. Unfortunately, people tend to spray multiple pumps, or think it needs to go on in multiple locations over their body.

Secondly, I think it is polarizing. My guess is that at least 50% of the world doesn't want to smell cologne on a man - and i think I am being generous here (probably closer to 70%). Of the rest who do like cologne, they tend to have very distinct opinions of what they like & don't like. The end result is that you end up with a small percentage of people who like what you smell like (or that you smell at all).

As far as comparing it to soap or shampoo, that is not accurate. Soap and shampoo do not stay with you all day the way cologne does.

Another thing... It is estimated that 55% of the world population has some form of allergies (me included). I literally can not be in the same room with someone wearing too much cologne or my eyes start watering & I start sneezing.

As far as cologne attracting women... I don't buy it. Women are attracted to men for many different reasons, but your faux-scent will not be something to win a girl over. If a girl is into you she will like whatever you wear. If a girl is not into you, she will think you smell like a player.

But, if you want to be a GUIDO , be sure to spritz some... you know... down there.

Armani Code, Armani Attitude, D&B Masculine, Calvin Klein Eternity, Polo Blue, Ralph Lauren Romance, Ralph Lauren Purple Label, Givenchy Blue Label, Davidoff Cool Water, Escada Sentiment, and I think I may be have one or two more.

The ladies like it. I only use one squirt of it though. Nobody likes being around people who wear too much.

soap and deodorant

What the difference if your smell comes from soap and deodorant or a bottle of cologne.

Not every person who wears cologne wears so much that you can smell it a mile away.

The difference is that soap and deodorant is invariably muted in its strength and scent. The idea is to not be smelled at all and if you are smelled for some odd reason to smell "fresh."

Are you in high school? I think high school kids still think wearing cologne is acceptable.

 Just don't overdo it and it's fine. That or scented aftershave. Just splotch it on and you're good to go.

FYI I don't wear cologne as I find it kind of cheesy. I won't wear it normally and sure as hell won't wear it at a bar. Just smacks of desperation.

i cant beleive all the cologne hate it must be a generational thing, every man i know age 20-30 wears cologne and i regularly get compliments on my scent.

So your idea of cologne is "all or nothing".

No one in the history of time has ever mastered using cologne in moderation. Everyone uses in excess.

And sorry, the deodorants you find on any store smell much more like cologne than they do soap.

lol wear cologne so that noone can smell it? what the **** is the point of that? theo and his hairbrain ideas

No, my idea of putting off any odor is "nothing or nothing." If you wear cologne and people spell it, be aware that a large portion of the population will think you're a goober.
