The story indicated gunfire was exchanged, so shots at a fleeing car could be in self-defense (if those in the car shot first).

Sounds to me that the other guy can claim self defense. He was beaten up in the bar and was then chased to his car by a man with a gun. If I'm him and I have a gun, I squeeze a few off out of fear for my life too.

The incident occurred at a bar called "Playmakers," the nickname of Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin. Roger Goodell may penalize the Cowboys under the new personal conduct policy. The thing that worries me is if it was in self-defense, why the need to lie to police about the weapon never leaving his house? Not only that, but why was he hiding the weapon in a bucket?

Marvin could potentially be scared of the consequences regardless, but with multiple witnesses at the scene, he was going to be implicated regardless.

Just weird.
