It's been a VERY long time since a DC film made me this optimistic. 1989 to be exact. There are aspects I'm not looking forward to (like all the extra superheroes in it) but I'm actually optimistic. And haha, that Krypto scene. You FEEL that.
I am guessing 1989 was Tim Burton's Batman. :) For me, I cannot say the same for 2013's Man of Steel although I still greatly appreciate it more than some.

2008 is a different matter though. I was more hyped for The Dark Knight than the upcoming Superman film. I do hope it will pay off for me when I see it. Twenty or thirty minutes into TDK, I was crying, literal grown <expletive> man crying in a theater how good the adaptation felt.

These trailers have been presented really well. I think it will be a super-monster hit if James Gunn sticks to his lane and does what he does best. His sense of humor is great:

Superman Robot #4: No need to thank us, sir, as we will not appreciate it. We have no consciousness whatsoever. Merely automatons here to serve. Meet 12, she's new.

~Kal-El acknowledges her with a glance~

Superman Robot #12: ~shock laugh~ He looked at me!

Good stuff. :starspin:

I can’t help but to think the images of ‘two Yelenas’ is going to happen when she’s engulfed by The Void.

And that she’s ultimately the person who will be able to reach Bob and bring him back from his path of destruction.

The group sure couldn’t stop The Sentry in any other way.

Wow at Daredevil tonight. Incredible stuff.
Yeh, the last episodes of DD born again, FINALLY made up for the ho hum drum, boring dragging season that this Disney version series full of holes was clearly becoming, imo.....

Spoliers alert - I still haven't figured out who da heck is kingpin Wilson Fisk secret prisoner ..and obviously the director didn't bring anything to this prisoner that suggested that he could even fight

Spolier alert - Wish they would have upsell kingpins "task force" ..didn't see what was so exceptionally different than mere decorated cops. It was private investigation team that found the serial killer Muse, not the Task force.

Wouldn't it been better if " Muse" took on a couple which the husband was trained in martial arts ? ...we had nothing to measure/compare Muse fighting skills by....

For people on Earth, that's where they get the idea. But thinking back to Superman II, Zod referred to the yellow sun when they were on the moon, IIRC.
The original Superman movies weren't really sticklers for scientific accuracy, lol. That said, it is rare whenever science fiction/fantasy movies and television series display an 'Earth-type' star as completely white in outer space. Take the star in the last few seconds of the Star Trek: Voyager intro:

It comes out of eclipse as almost completely white but it does have an ever so slight tint of yellow in its presentation. Off-topic: I first thought about only showing the last few seconds but have always loved the ST:V opening. All the scenes are so freaking beautiful with instrumental music to match.
